terms and conditions

anybody able to point me in the right direction of were it says that only one person may sign up per computer (ip address)

i have studied the terms and conditions and am unable to find anything about this.

the only thing i can see is one account per shipping address. but there is a big difference between one per shipping address and one per ip address.

obviously i must be wrong as everybody on here seems to follow this rule.

unfortunately before i found this site i had signed up for 360giveaway, i think that my girlfriend signed up on my computer when she was visiting for the weekend (i aint 100% sure of that, she may have done it on her computer)

cant remember it was that long ago.

Re: terms and conditions

Speaking of terms and conditions i have made a small booboo, ipods was my first freething to sign up to, so i thought it was a load of gibberish. Therefore i entered a load of gibberish in the address section. However once i realised that it was genuine i created a support ticket (on the old support system) telling them i know its genuine and was it possible for them to enter my correct address. They sent a support ticket back saying come order time it wont be a problem and they will do that for me. Guess whos account is on hold now!!!!

Created a support ticket that has been forwarded to techical division. Hoping they will sort this out for me like they said they would!!

Re: terms and conditions

it does say in the terms and conditions at the time of signing up that you must provide your correct shipping address as this will be the only address they will send the items too. thats the case on the giveaway network anyway.

but i cant see anything about ip addressess?
18 views to my question so far and no one has answered so im guessing that i have got it right. that there is nothing in there about more than one sign up per ip address!

Re: terms and conditions

To quote a ticket i submitted, or sohuld i say, their reply:

If you check our t&c's on www.giveawaynetwork.co.uk you will notice that the same ip address is one method used to detect fraudulent misuse. If the same ip is flagged with another user through the verification process then, unfortunately, your account may be put on hold. You may appeal but I cannot guarantee that any appeal will be successful; each account and user are assessed on an individual basis, however.

Re: terms and conditions

this is the terms and conditions that are set out on the 360giveaway site. anybody signing up for one of these offers is asked to read these terms and conditions and follow them.

my original point is not mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions.

360Giveaway.co.uk Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

If we replace a product, the new product may not be of equal value.

We reserve the right to change the products or offers at any time, for any reason.

Re: terms and conditions

Hi,

The point about signing up from the same IP is not mentioned in the Terms, but users are naturally caustious of it because of the other point mentioned in the Terms about not allowing multiple accounts. Specifically:

5. One person may not have more then 1 account at 360Giveaway.co.uk, even if they provide different shipping addresses. If a person is suspected of having more then one account, all suspicious accounts will be placed on hold. There is no guarantee that they will ever be taken off of hold.

The important part is "If a person is suspected of having more then one account, all suspicious accounts will be placed on hold."... Therefor if all your freinds and family sign up from your computer, we are quite rightly gonna "suspect" that you have created all the accounts yourself. However we do not rely on IP addresses alone, and use a lot of other information to decide whether you have broke the rules. We are also aware that many ISPs use proxies, such as NTL, AOL etc....

While it is true that if some of you referrals have the same IP, your account may still be verified and you sent your gift, there is always the chance however that it might be placed on hold. So the advice in general is to stay clear of getting referrals to sign up from your PC.

Hope that clears things up.... Also just a note about the end of our Terms, we have never placed an account on hold for no reason, and never will. All sites on the web have a similar clause not matter what service they provide just to cover themselves if the worst should happen.

Re: terms and conditions

thanks for clearing that up tab

say for instance when i finally get all my greens and it goes to verification. what would be the difference of some body getting through the verification and somebody not getting through verification if they had a green from their ip address.

didnt explain that very well. what i mean is how do u decide what are fraudulent accounts and which are not.

like i said ....... this was out of ignorance on my part as to the rules there was no fraudulent intentions on my part. so how would u decide if i get through or not.

btw.... tab..... any chance you could check to see if my girlfriend did sign up on my account. like is said im unsure if she did or not.

just trying to figure out if its worth my while carrying on with 360giveaway or not. it means i can put all my efforts into ps3giveaway if this one is going to be pointless.

dont want to get my 10 greens then you turn round and say to me ........ thanks for the business but sorry we think your a fraud!

ps. the rule about ip addresses should be made more clear to the people who sign up for these offers.
