whats the point!!

hi guys

first post (except the introduction)......... i have to start by venting some frustrations here.

whats the point in going to all the hard work of getting people referred to the xbox360giveaway site......... if they never manage to be able to track the offers that are completed through my referral link.

i have been with this site for 3 weeks, in that time i have managed to refer 15 people to the site. i only need 10...... but none of my referalls have gone green.

from reading through this site.... i see this happens with the odd referral here and there. but 15

i contacted the support team who says its up to the other people to contact them with proof that the offer has been complete. wouldnt it make more sense to get the system sorted out......(its obviously not working very well...... if at all!)

if the system worked better ....... then it would save me and the giveaway site support a whole load of man hours chasing up the referrals manually. this seems crazy to me.

i had planned to complete the xbox360 one then go for the alienware offer.

but what the hell is the point if it is going to mean 3 times more work than xbox360 offer.

after (if i ever get credited for my referrals) i complete this xbox360 giveaway........ i done with this network...... move on to a more effecient one.

sorry for the rant in my opening post on here but i needed to get that off my chest.

Alot of the tracking issues are down to various factors out of the freegift networks controll, so its not all giveaway networks fault, (such as the people who joined up for you allready being a member of the offer, visiting the offer from a different page via a banner (this will place a tracking cookie for the first site, not giveaway network), and the user not completing the offfer properly

Also its impossible for the giveaway network to check the people who signed up for you on your behalf, due to data protection act issues etc, they can only deal wiht the account holder directly

if they joined the offer, completed it properly they will get the green it may take some time, also the giveaway network have had a massive workload this past month so im sure any backlog will be cleared soon

Jon has pretty much explained everything.... Just to reiterate the point about needing to deal with the account holder directly - we really aren't trying to make things difficult on purpose, but we can only deal with the person that actually owns the account due to the DPA. It also just makes more sense to deal with the account holder as they will generally know more about what offer they have completed, when they completed it, and be able to proviode proof.

If your referrals should be going green, then all they have to do is contact us and we will credit them.

4 of the referrals i know personnally........ the offers were completely successfully and correctly. i watched them doing it through my link then through the link for screen select on the offer page. not one of these are credited to my account. not one of these people had heard of these sites before i told them. so not one of them had a previous account with screen select.

so u obviously are having serious issues with your tracking software.

when i get these people who i know personnaly to contact you with proof of them completeing their offer then i will be credited...... thats fine i will have 4 green.

but that doesnt solve the problem of the other 11 referrals...... who as far as i know may have completed their offers also. this means that the work i have done has been for nothing.

The giveaway network has no tracking software, so I dont see how that can be at fault? the tracking is done via a unique number in the links, which screen select tehn report back to them.

Do the people who have done screen select have more than 10 dvd's in their "selection" and recieved dvd's allready?

like i said........ i supervised it and it was completed correctly........ and i ensured that it was 10 "unique" dvds.

i can understand one or two referrals going missing but a possible 15!

So they only 'may' have completed their offer? It may just be that they signed up but never actually went green for you! On my xbox360 one 71 have gone yellow, but only 6 went green! It's not a definite guarantee that they have/ will sign up!

It could just be a delay! Some offers on freepay sites have taken over a month to go green, but the only way to prove it is for the person who's done the offer to send a support ticket in, with emails etc if possible saying they have done it!

As i keep saying its not the fault of the giveaway network, once they get the advertising data from screenselect they apply it to the accounts, unfortunatly they cant magic this data from thin air.

sounds like screen select are ripping TAB off then

the less confirmed completed offers they forward to TAB ........ the less money they pay.

sounds like a good business plan to me.

A walk through is sitting next to someone and 'walking them through' the whole process ie 'suggesting' to them the offers they do etc, posting links on ebay simply tells them the basic steps of the process mostly as the sites do!

Because the less offers they say people have done, the less people they are admitting have signed up to their site! So if they haven't signed up to their site in theory, screen select won't get their money! It's in screen select's ionterst to say more people have done an offer!
