If any of you have a intrest in buying any of the Giveaway Networks old domains

you can see a list of domains on Fusion Media Ltd was placed into Creditors Voluntary Liquidation on 3 September 2009 - which exceem is hosting as a favour.

that email was sent to me today, I only put on the page what ive been asked to put on there, but I would trust the content of the email I posted above.

far too many people who will be pissed at the giveaway site to bother buying, you will have hundreds if not thousands of people asking for their free gifts if anyone was to restart it any of them domain names. let the **** die as it deserves.

Agreed, you don't want to be associated with everything that has gone on. Only reason to buy them would be the goodwill in the name but I don't see that there would be any now.

And an after thought, why is exceem helping a website by hosting which ****ed over most of its members? the members have nothing to gain so why be associated with them?

Im guessing its because most of the companies creditors will be on this forum and without exceem hosting it they would have found it hard to get hold of contact details (short of buying them off companies house)

I don't really see it as helping Giveaway. Jon is helping those members who have been waiting for gifts by giving them a contact address.

If Jon was not hosting that page then there would just be a 404 error and a lot of people would have even less of an idea as to what is going on.

Tbh I could probably put up with the abuse, but they'd probably still keep getting good traffic for now or at least be good in the SERPS!

Totally agree, the selling of the domains will only benefit the inland revenue etc, we already know that members owed anything are going to get nothing.

Though a member who's owed something could get a cheap deal for the domain and profit from it in the long run. I think I'd rather the domain go to someone who's associated to the scene than to an outsider.

The domain will almost certainly go for £xxx though, maybe more!

I think the only benefit of buying any of these domains is SEO: giveaway.co.uk has 1500 backlinks!
