| MJ lady with maracas | yeah, I don't have the exact amounts but I would guess income tax would be at 40%, plus the company needs to pay their national insurance contributions, as well as employee contributions, so id hazard a guess that 50% again of salary's paid was owed to the Inland Revenue.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah that could have been worded a lot better. Freebiejeebies and Kudos are solid. Last edited by delude; 03-09-09 at 05:53 PM.. |

Rough and ready, trade creditors, a bank loan and the tax man will come to something in the region of £140,000. You then have to add on anything owed to customers who referred to GA and didn't get their gift and people waiting for auction prizes on TheReversebid. If there is anything left in the pot, everyone will share equally (HMRC used to get a better deal but not anymore). The trouble is, the pot as it stands will probably not even cover the Liquidator's fees. People owed money will not get anything unless that pot can be made bigger. It is up to the Liquidator to decide if the salaries taken were excessive.

| iPod 30gb | looks like tab was filling his pockets with everyones money while all his customers and everyone on exceem were being robbed daily while he and his partner/partners led everyone on a merry dance . robbing twats this should be the start of new and better safeguards for exceemers who signup to exceem supported networks . If we take giveaway as an example, they seem perfectly legit, then things start to go wrong. We contact them by email/pm/msn/write to their registered address for example, they no longer respond apart from physically going to visit them in person and demanding answers we don't have a leg to stand on. While I appreciate it may seem like I'm making a rod for my own back, by saying our supported networks don't stand up to much, I'm not saying that, I'm just saying we are limited. It's thanks to Furbs and Jon that we have actually got some information from Giveaway, and while I know it looks like people won't get what they are owed, it does mean that at least we can post updates on here as and when we know things that other members don't receive. When for example Woostar closed Freeclickz, he posted on here to let us know as such and the reasons why which again is a bonus. Any suggestions are always welcome though as to how we can improve things though!

| Mr Baldy Chicken | I think as a result of all this Exceem should be a little more open to other sites/networks especially the American sites - this may encourage them to branch internationally. Either that, or supported status should be replaced by a grading system - rather than something which Exceem can be seen to be liable for, and expected to deal with. With all respect to the site owners, Exceem is simply becoming a FreebieJeebies/Kudos forum - the scope needs to be widened. Last edited by the_icks; 03-09-09 at 08:05 PM.. |

| MJ lady with maracas | American networks don't make contact with me, i did email a few to get no reply. I know I keep saying this (over the last year..) but a ranking system is in the workings

Furthermore this is the risk you take when you provide credit to anyone (which is effectively what you do when you sign up) - they can go bankrupt before you get the money back. It happens all the time and obviously it is bad if you are affected, but you can only do so much to investigate a companies solvency and at the end of the day this is the risk you take when you trade with any company. It's a shame but unfortunately you just have to move on and either try again with someone else if you want, or just stop if you don't like the risk. There is a secret third option I suppose but might pi$$ people off I post it!

but i do think a few new things could be added to the list of things supported networks have to do , to stay supported on exceem . here are a couple 1. Network owners must post on exceem regulary ( every 1 or 2 days ) 2. If exceem support tickets go un-answered inside a set time ( and the members then post about it on exceem ) the networks must reply to that members ticket within a set time.

that will then save a good few members on here losing any more than they should have

The problem is, is that because a site is Exceem supported we feel that they have an obligation to post on here.. this should not be a criteria... this is why I fell a grading system is much better than the black and white 'supported/unsupported' system. I think that there should be mre sites added to the unsupported section - rather than us all jumping on people the minute they are mentioned - and trades should be allowed with unsuported sites, otherwise the trade system will die a death.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It wouldn't (in fact, it may help it to go downhill) but if it saved just one person from losing out by signing up to what they thought was a reputable network, then it has to be a plus. People seem to under estimate just how value supported status is. If networks want it, then why not make them give something back. None of this "they are not obliged to post". If they don't want to post here, then they don't deserve supported status. In my humble view. Furb

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A major problem is that when it is thought a network is in trouble financially or something isnt quite right, it is usually too late as you have already put in a lot of time, effort and money. Freebie sites seem to pop up every day of the week and they are all a risk to an extent, but yet we choose to take a gamble in the hope that it will pay off just as we did when we first came across our first "free ipod" advert such a long time ago! Unless the networks are going to provide jon with their accounts (which can be easily dressed up) every month there will always be a risk and no ranking system, making the owners post every 2 days, approved statuses etc are really going to change that!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not sure where this can be posted to make it prominent but anyone who is owed money or thinks they are a creditor should contact the Liquidator, who will be able to provide a pack of the relevant papers.
