Why not? By keeping this quiet you make it sound like this is some shady, dodgy scheme that nobody should hear anything negative about, therefore allowing people like Tab to continue trading for months with no intention of paying out, safe in the knowledge that no-one will complain for fear of giving affiliate schemes a bad name.

When you watch Watchdog or Rogue Traders etc and see, for example, a dodgy plumber ripping off old ladies - do you immediately assume all plumbers are dodgy and vow never to use one? I certainly don't. So why would exposing an affiliate-based company that failed its customers be any different? It could even be a good thing as a full report on how affiliate marketing schemes should work would be a timely replacement to the old BBC Newsnight programme about freeipodsdotcom some years ago.

I don't think for 1 second that any consumer shows would have any interest in this whatsoever so there is zero chance of it happening, but I don't think people should be afraid of some media exposure, even if it is highlighting a failed company.
I'd happily go on and give an interview on how it does work, and where the 5M viewers can sign up....lol

the problem being they dont already have a stigma attached that its a scam, freebie sites do we all know at least 80% of people you ask will say its a scam.

Until it's explained properly to them. The problem is people don't have a full understanding of how it works. Cashback sites used to have a similar stigma until people understood why the companies pay them for buying something. This is the same.

I actually agree with TomBSC, I mean it would hurt to get the actual process broadcasted on a TV Show. It could actually mean more sign ups/greens in the long run, no?

I totally agree. Same as when the BBC did freeipods.com.

Although only a few people will benefit from this unless everyones websites are topnotch and easily found on google (ie not mine!)

I think the publicity would do us good. I've been looking into similar thing myself... though not blacknaming anyone like fusion media, but more like the T3 article!

Just going back to watchdog, what would it achieve? It wouldn't stop people signing up to Giveaway as they are already going under. It would just highlight how a company that was at the forefront a few years ago can quickly go downhill.

Do you want that highlighting?! I mean, wouldn't people think "if it can happen to one, it can happen to any of them"??

If there is nothing to be gained, which there isn't, then just leave it. You are assuming that watchdog would give a fair report on the whole scene, which they may or may not do - no point risking it!

i got my custom order at the start of january and the final piece which were hairstraighteners in febuary, they wernt on back order but they wernt going to send them, but i think my constant support tickets must of pee'd them off and they turned up lol.
