It would cost you £1,500 plus to petition for winding-up and there is little point in spending the money if they are going to proceed to voluntary liquidation (as long as they do so within a reasonable time frame).

Whatever my reasons for not posting, I could hardly ignore a subject that I actually know something about and can possibly help.

Does this mean that everyone who is owed a gift/money from them will at least be given something or can they just turn around and say no one is getting anything?

Like they owe me 10 greens/£270, if I say to the liquidators they owe me that, if I get something back will it be the whole sum or just a fraction of it, if anything at all?

It really depends what there is left in the pot. We wont know until that information becomes available.

But if (and it's a big if) there is anything left it will be pro rated between all the creditors.

Thanks ainslee!

I just get sick of people scamming others and then trying to remain part of the community, get a grip! Others may disagree (I hope very few) but I think we all need to be kind to each other, not scam each other and lie through our teeth.

Oh Furb? Since you seem to be in the know about this, what do I do now to try and salvage a bit of cash? Do I need to contact the insolvancy people? and how do I find out who they are? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, I know.

And I'd just like to let everyone know that Jon, Claire and Emma did a fantastic job doing their best to sort this out.

I just don't see why Ginister should be allowed to get away with it, as I know I wasn't the only one, and he got +ive feedback before going on hold.

They will post details soon, the IP will inform Companies House within 2 weeks of their appointment so we might not have that info yet. Certainly a webcheck at Companies House isn't showing that it is in liquidation so they probably haven't been told yet.

We have a subscription with a credit checking agency at work, i'll add Fusion Media to our watch list so when they file the stuff at CH i'll get an email. Otherwise keep checking above.

That will be too late for me Saint. I'm looking to go to any creditors meeting that is called so need to find out before the appointment.

The meeting should be Gazetted and I have access to that online, so will keep an eye out.
