Question

Noob question that's even confused GA!

Guys, maybe someone here can help me out on this as GA (Lisa) doesn't know the answer either!

OK, I have a custom order for just 4 referrals, met all the criteria, account validated (finally... pesky lovefilm ) so I go to place my order for some cash (set at £90) and it asks for my delivery address, fair enough.

Below that there's a choice of 3 items, either:

A question mark (????? No text, just a ? )
£81 cash
£81 Amazon voucher

Ummmm.... ummmm.... what to select here? I thought GA did bank transfers (why would they "courier" a cheque in this day & age?). I asked what the ? was and apparently they have no idea.

Not only that, but surely £90 from 4 referrals is correct for a custom order? I seem to remember it was £25 per referral - 10% for some reason, could be wrong, just have a vague recollection of that... so why a further 10% taken off to make £81?

I couldn't find a thread on this, apologies if it's been discussed already, all replies gratefully received!

Probably best you take the £81 while you can.

Lisa shouldn't need to 'understand it' she should fix it, and if she hasn't then the question is why not?

Take the money and run...

I'm not sure about the ?, but you say your custom order is set at £90, but showing as £81. 10% of £90 is £9. £90 - £9 = £81, so looks like it's either taking off an additional 10% or there's something going wrong in how it sets the value at £90.

I had the same thing last time, you need to choose the ?? as thats the custom order, the cash and amazon alternatives are automatically calculated as 90% or whatever it is of the order value, which in this case is £90, the custom order button is the one you want.

Once again proves something is very much awry at GA since they explained it to me no problem before xmas.

Wow! What a lot of quick responses, thanks very much!

Just out of interest, here's the reply Lisa gave me (11 days ago!):

"I will ask Shipping/Technical Support to help you out with this, as I really don't know which you should select either!

My colleague will offer you support shortly. Please do not worry over an ordering timescale, orders are only despatched at the end of the month, so you will not be incurring any delivery delays while we sort this out for you."

I've sent a mail asking for an update but reckoned it'd be quicker to simply post here as you guys know more than they do!

Once again, thanks for your assistance, I'll go with the "?" and keep the fingers crossed it all works out!

Smile

Just for thread completeness... guess what arrived in the post today - yup, a cheque for £90 from GA... Ok, so it's not a huge payout, but it's mine and I'm well chuffed after having read all the bad news on here.

I submitted the order on my last posting here, so I guess 20th March, in all it's taken 7 weeks or so to receive anything, hardly 5-10 days but they got there in the end.

Good luck to all who are still waiting!
