I still keep reading the GA problem threads just out of curiousity really.

One thing i have noticed is alot of people saying "tab hasn't been on here" but i would bet my house on him (or one of the GA staff) having been on here (prob quite regularly). After all its easy to view the boards as a guest.

I just wonder if they realise that this is spiralling out of control and are afraid of posting at the minute.

I cashed out earlier than i wanted to, and i'm very glad that i did with all this financial stuff being mentioned.

No offence to the people that are defending GA (albeit very slightly) but i think that they deserve all the stick they get. They have chosen to run a BUSINESS and this isn't how BUSINESSES should be ran. If it was any other internet or high street based company everyone would be complaining.

I think GA have been given more than enough time to sort this out, or to inform people of troubling times. It can't be that hard to place a notice on GA support stating that they are experiencing difficulties which they are working to put right.

The fact is, they are more than happy just to sit and wait until YOU contact THEM and then usually reply with something totally unrelated to the question asked.

I feel that the reason they are being defended and also unfortunately the reason they are being attacked is that they are a very highly valued network by the majority of members on here.

It will be a shame to see them go, but I fail to see any recovery possible at this stage.

This is following the same route as so many other networks in recent times, but at least the majority of them had the decency to keep some sort of communication channel open.

true but then a lot of the responses on here just seemed to be delaying tactics before the network went walkabouts. I suppose a small plus is that at least a small amount are getting gifts and hopefully GA will get more money from their major advertiser this month as I'm sure by now that the money from furbs and other members (we really should call them major creditors?)

Can only hope that after the next payment from TD that a major payout also comes the way of the members.

I too dont think the owners should be abused, but GA as a business has to stand up and be counted.

It will always be judged (as every business) on its level of service to the customer and thats been poor (to say the least) over the last few months.

I have tried to be objective in my posts and don't think that i have personally attacked tab in any way.

maybe he cant get to his email for the same reason he cant get to eXceem, and if he cant get to his email, something must have gone terribly wrong

That's great. That means that all 5 out of my 5 referrals who did love film all require a manual update.

I personally think this is ********.

1) They manually update Lovefilm refs.
2) they know that the vast majority of people we request to ask for manual credits wont bother.

Sounds like they are deliberately holding refs back so they don't have to pay out!

I'm hoping you've misunderstood - if they're saying January Lovefilm's have been credited then that's serious BS.

I don't think anyone on here has had any credited since Jan 6th or so; they wouldn't be allowed to get away with that.

Are we at the stage where there is no hope? Or can we still dream about recieving orders?

As many people have said on the subject GA is a business therefore they should have let us know what the problem is, whether it be financial, personal or health etc. If any other non internet business had treated their customers in the same sort of way there would be far far more abuse directed towards the owners. The fact that it is an internet business does not matter to me, I just feel that its plain rude not to have let us know what has gone on.

Sorry if this seems a bit harsh however in my opinion it is the truth.

If there are profitability issues, I can't figure out why it has suddenly hit them? Yeah theres the credit crunch but I can't see any way this would have had a negative impact on their business.

All I can think of is the custom order option which is relatively new to GA - and seems to have done an about turn. If they get rid of proper custom orders, quite simply GA will slowly disappear as all the big referrers look to other networks. If they just paid out less cash per referral they could improve the figures and not push away their most important customers. I can't speak for everyone else, but given speedier processing and support times, I would still refer to them for £17 per ref.

However if profitbility is not the issue (which they haven't explicitly come out with yet), then they've got some serious explaining to do!

Even if Tab has been unable to post on eXceem, one of the Giveaway support staff could have posted. For some reason they chose not to.

no network staff of any network has to come on here and explain anything , no one from freepay visits do they .

exceem users are only a small percentage of the giveaway users and while yes it would be nice for them to come on here they are under no obligation what so ever.

i am not sticking up for them at all as you know i have been waiting since january for answers and for my £700

all we can do is wait , i know its frustating , i am one of the most frustated as you can imagine ..time will tell i guess.

possibly a moral obligation! or damage limitation perhaps.

the original opinion was that Jon was in contact with Tab and had some sort of dialogue going on, this seems not now to be the case... there mut surely now be the issue of whether or not to continue supported status... there have been sites dropped who have certainly had a more open dialogue.
