no doubt in another few weeks you will all get replies from this "managing director" to say that he has passed in onto the logistics manager, etc etc

I know they are well covered in the TOS, but that gives me some hope.

I would still like to take action though, too much money at stake personally and as a collective. Does anyone have any ideas how or should I seek advice elsewhere?

heres a good one, this is the response, to the ticket that was "passed to the MD" this morning,

Hi Paul,

Please accept our apologies for the delay, however at this point we are unable to offer you a definitive time frame for when you will receive your order. We are working through in date order and all orders are up to date as of the 31st January at the moment.

You patience is very much appreciated.

Cherie

And the punch line is..............................

I haven't even placed an order lol

Just got this reply:

"Hi Philip,

Thank you for your patience. You will receive your BT before the end of the month.

Kind Regards, Cherie."

That gives them 2 days... but not getting my hopes up!

And banks dont transfer money at weekends

I assume then that it means (if its not another fobbing off tactic) that they will put your BT into the bank after the weekend but it will still probably take 3-4 days after that.

assuming they actually do it.

That's interesting, what date is your order? And which "month" are they talking about.

This is the reply I got earlier today!

"In an effort to stay in business and continue to deliver our customers rewards, we are currently not in a position to send out any orders. We have every intention to deliver these orders when it becomes possible, but unfortunately at this point there is no way we can fulfil them.

Many factors have brought about this situation, however we would have been in a position to send out more gifts this month had our largest customer paid us what we are owed. They are now 3 months behind which means we simply do not have the funds to send out any gifts."

I am genuinely thankful to Cherie for her honesty.

It is also now very clear that all the speculation was justified.

How the once biggest network in the UK can get into this state beggars belief. Not of the other networks will have been paid by LOVEFiLM either but they are still paying out

Edit - a very sad day indeed.

I guess the other companies are happy enough being free gift networks and don't have any intentions of opening other businesses like....TheReverseBid.com, for example.

which appears to be back up, unlike last time I checked.

I'd start a refund dispute for now and see if they actually refund the money you wasted on credits, 5 months is a much too long a wait.

No items on it though

I believe this is the first post I've made on the matter. The long and short of it is that, despite how things are looking at the moment, Tab and Cherie have no intentions of "running off" with everyone's money.

I've spoken to Tab many times before and I don't think he's as dishonest as you're all portraying him. I also think that it'd also be very disappointing if, when he does get back up on his feet, everyone stayed away from the network for good. The Giveaway Network is partially responsible for the initial growth of the freebie world in the UK, and I'm finding it hard to believe that the majority of people on here are looking straight through fantastic past of this network to see the present.

Just like the FreePay story, good things come to those who wait. Whether or not I'd have the same opinion if £900 was on the line, I don't know, but as a bystander I think everyone is being pretty disrespectful in bad-mouthing a network for its first major slip-up for as long as I can remember.

Whoa young boy just a moment, If someone from GA had posted on here and been honest with it's members, then people might have been able to accept this situation. From day 1 the main complaint has been the lack of communication.

How else do you expect people to react when they are getting fobbed off with the same copied/pasted replies or lied and always being told their gifts are on their way.

This isnt about GA, this would happen with any network though I dont think the other networks would hide their heads in the sand and ignore their members, which is one of the big reasons that GA hasnt been number 1 for quite some time.

You cant expect people to just be patient these months and then treat this as if it hasnt happened and start referring people to GA again. People don't forget these "slip-up's".

From Day 1 people havent been happy with the situation but have also been asking if tab is ok etc and showing genuine concern but again, we hear nothing.

the bottom line is that GA's customer support is poor and their relationship with exceem members is poor compared to the other networks. THEY have brought this upon themselves, not the exceem members who have loyally referred to them over the years.

well as a bystander people here have every right to kick off, what most where thinking with regards to giveaway being in the **** money wise has been brought to the forefront, but instead of it coming from Tab its had to filter down through support.
they are a business and if you get rubbish support delayed orders etc you as the customer have every right to complain.

just because they were prob the first freebie site in the uk, does that make them immune to bad mouthing ? its us the customers not just exceem which has made giveaway what it is today, and the customers have rights since we are feeding them, and them right include being skeptical as to wether people will or not get their gifts.

If Tab had decided to come on exceem and explain the situation weeks ago non of this would have come about and people would prob be more inclined to offer support, but since they have stuck their heads in the sand hoping it will all go away without telling us people have backlashed with their own take on the situation.
