I haven't been here in a loooong while since the initial enthusiasm of getting GA referrals kinda waned for me but now I'm nearing the end of my referrals I thought I'd check back as something weird is going on with GA...

I've had a referral (LoveFilm of course!) sitting at pending for I guess 7 weeks now. I mailed them last week to find out why and they wouldn't discuss it with me and wanted the person I'd referred to raise a support ticket. OK, fair enough, a bit of hassle, and given how rubbish the tracking of LoveFilm is, not entirely fair on us to have to sort out their tracking issues (moan moan! ), but I finally managed to track him down today and got him to check his account to raise a ticket.

Here's the surprise - His account says "Offer Completed".... yet my tracking for him still says "Pending"... now THAT'S what I call a mystery .

Not content with being either Complete or Pending, this is both at the same time! And suspiciously just happens to be the one I need to complete my gift. All looks very dodgy to me unless someone's seen this before and there's a reasonable explanation?

Any advice would be appreciated as this looks more like GA has a problem updating itself rather than Lovefilm being the problem... and of course that makes me wonder how often this happens without our knowledge - We just take it that someone we don't personally know has not completed the offer successfully and think no more of it.

Have you seen the referrals account say "offer completed" or as your referral just told you it does?

I've seen it - screen shot an' all. The guy's my cousin - like, I know & trust him 100%. He's still a member of lovefilm too even after the trial expired, so no worries there.

Of course, GA are very clever in that they could say the screen shot is useless cos it doesn't actually state your e-mail address anywhere on the screen (or even in the address bar!!) so there's no actual proof it's his account - I've already looked at it closely with that in mind.

It says offer completed on the main page, but in the status page it will say something like

'you have completed the lovefilm offer and it is pending'

This happened before with me and it caused some confusion.

Ahhhhhhhhh thank you! That would explain it (I was gonna say that would make sense, but it obviously doesn't ). My memory was that it said Pending everywhere until it was really and truly completed but I must've dreamed it

I'll check up and report back if that's not the case...
