Sorry, but I need to rant....

I've been trying really hard to get all my refferals, (and I have got them, even though three are still pending) and while I must emphasize that I have recieved nothing but good, quick service with my greens, people being referred under me are not going green!

I have LoveFilm pendings now for over 50 days!!!!!! When I send a ticket, they just say, you need to get the user to send in a screenshot. Now even if they could (half of my referrals are relatives with little computer knowledge!) they have all already cancelled their accounts, so they can't!

Plus a VC bet pending went back to no offer completed (as did I on another GA site, but I sent in a ticket and they manually greened it promptly) and the user who I traded with sent a ticket in over 10 days ago... still nothing, and I can't get in touch with the user...

Sorry to rant, I just really really want a PS3 for my son's birthday... and I can't afford one. I know we all are short of money, but it's a special birthday, and I'm working so hard just to get by. I thought this was an answer to getting him something nice, and now I don't think I'm going to be able to manage it.

join the long list of others having problems, its crap but you just have to keep bugging their support as they do seem to be using alot of excuses to delay sending gifts.
all other networks are coping fine some shine through better than others.

The saying that they are the biggest network so have more to deal with imho is BS if they are that big get more staff simple.

It can be frustrating sometimes as you can't directly get in touch with referrals to help them with problems. It would be cool if you could just phone them up, but that's not possible. I think your problems are also being compounded by the delays with GA updating pendings.

In January I had a Lovefilm pending on my account since December, and also a new pending in January. I got the standard ticket response that the referral has to get in touch with GA, but then they did a big pendings update and the pending from December went Green. The January one is still pending, so I think it's a delay with the network as opposed to the referral not doing the offer right.

I think you'll just need to hang on and hope that GA get their act together soon.

Agreed.

Also slightly off-topic, but i'm no longer convinced that they are still the biggest network. Yes, I agree they probably were at some point, but surely in terms of gifts sent/month and the amount they must be turning over, i'd reckon FJ must have now surpassed GA. I know that GA must have a huge database of users, but this is only to be expected for how long they've been operating, but i'd bet that there's more 'active' users on FJ. I know that Exceem only represent a small percentage of the entire demographic of users, but a good portion of the leads must have linked back original Exceem members.

What concerns me is that where does this leave the vast majority of GA users who are not Exceem members? We have indeed been informed that there are problems, although we don't know the proper details. I can't imagine how this must feel, being completely left in the lerch, but it must be worse for those who have not even been informed that there are problems.

I'd understand if GA had at least sent out an email to all users, explaining that there are some problems etc, and that gifts will still be sent out eventually. But i'd hate to imagine how many will have just given up and left their greens on GA, as a result of not getting replies to tickets, whether they be problems with lovefilm pendings or other enquiries.

which in turn will fuel the fact people are very sceptical about freebie sites and this will only give them more reasons to shout scam.

ayach has a spectacular aura about
I also do not believe that Giveaway are the biggest network in terms of offers completed and gifts shipped out.

FreebieJeebies opened two years after Giveaway and aren't that far behind Giveaway in gifts sent out, bearing in mind in the last four months FJ shipped out £77,000 alone.

Just think how many people in the last few months have got themselves a few greens and then given up with the opinion of freebie sites being scams, allowing Giveaway to scoop up all those greens as profit. Perhaps this was the reason no email was sent to users, although Giveaway wouldn't have had time to send one anyway, right?

In reply to the original poster, in another thread someone quoted Giveaway as saying offers will be credited and gifts ordered by the end of February. I wouldn't hold your breath though as the same thing was said last month.

If you are that concerned about the financial status of Giveaway, or more rightly their parent company Fusion Media (Fusion Media Ltd. - Registered No. 5260989) you can pay to have a Dun & Bradstreet report.
Fusion Media Ltd.
Then you can stop speculating.

Although this may be a good way to checkup on a company, I'm sure it's dependent on their latest company accounts. E.g. if their accounts for year 1 end on May 1st 2008 for the period April 30th 2007 - May 1st 2008, their accounts are not due for 9 months following that date. So the financial situation for the company would not be available for 9 months after the end of year trading. Credit ratings would still be updated I'd imagine from their payments for various things such as HM Revenue & Customs etc...

If (and this is a big IF) they did have financial troubles, this wouldn't be visible I'd imagine until that date, and even then if its a more recent financial trouble, it would be available for another year...

Correct me if i'm wrong..

Yes and no. The report does show year on year accounts and therefore growth and stability but also shows credit rating which is updated monthly and shows if they are late paying bills etc. It also compares the most recent month's data against the previous 2 years to see if there has been a change in performance.
We use them alot at work and they are very revealing...
I suppose it wouldn't help much with GA though as the parent company could be doing very well.

I only suggested it because there is so much speculation about GA's financial situation, this may put minds at rest.
