| iPod 60gb | cant even remember what day i'm on now .... it took ages to verify, now ages to send out a measly £135 cheque |

| Mini Mac | well its a long 24/48 hours... anyway whilst checking if my ticket had been replied to i saw this : Customer Notice Please note the following changes to Giveaway: 1) A Custom Order can now only be chosen before you reach 4 green referrals. 2) Once you have added a custom order to your account, it may not be changed. so for people like me that collect refs till they decide they want something or get bored and want to cash out looks like this is no longer possible. |

I'm beginning to think giving giveaway a try may have been a big mistake. I was hoping to get my fried a ps3 for his 21st, but I'm refusing to refer anyone to this network until I receive the cheque they owe me.

![]() | I just saw the note about custom orders too. I got my order in before this rule which is good, but i was trying to change it to a bank transfer. No chance of this happening now, just gotta wait for them to send my order which could take months! Sucks for you guys who always get custom orders, wont give you much of a chance to think about what you want. And also agree with kevin. For people who dont get the full amount of refs needed they will give up without being able to put a custom order in. |

![]() | ahh man this is an unbelivable pain! been saving up for ages and this really screws me up as my current custom order is for an LCD which is basically near the end of its life but I was not that worried as I could change the custom order when the new LCD's are released in a couple of weeks |

Same, but I'm stuck with them for now. I'm really dissapointed in the way this network is being run. They 1st lured me in with the low refs on iphones, then raised them so I was pretty gutted and pretty much stopped using them. Then they had their super new same day verificatons, excellent ref rates etc. and lured me back for ps3 now that's gone too. All I can say is that I won't be fooled by them.

![]() | Hi all. Can anyone clarify what exactly these new changes mean in idiot terms? I was going for a custom order which has now been set, (I have the required refs also), but I have yet to click verify because I am unsure yet whether I am going to keep referring. |

| blah blah blah | I think the thing I find disappointing is that someone obviously found the time to change that bit on the sites (might have only took a few minutes) but couldnt spend any time making a post on exceem to tell their members. I have no idea if Tab does the coding but surely if he cant post here, another of his team could sign up and message us on his behalf We get told its not money troubles. Ok, well then I would expect people who are awaiting gifts to be paid before tradedoubler pays GA their next payment. If gifts are sent after that date, great but it will just reinforce the thought that it appears us members are not allowed to speculate on. All I can say is thank goodness that the other network owners value exceem members (apart from freepain, but they have shown nothing towards our members anyway).

So, for example, you start iPhone GA but have no idea what you want and build up 10 greens and 10 pendings. At that point you ask for a custom order at 20 refs. After the long wait for the pendings to turn green, maybe you lose a couple and end up with 18 greens, you can amend the custom order to 18 refs. If you then lost 1 ref on verification, in theory you could change the custom order again to 17 refs. In essence, it is like the "verify for as many greens that get through" that the other networks allow you to do. Very flexible. Well, I say "is", but mean "was", that is no longer possible on GA. As a result of the change, you effectively have to specify what your custom order is from virtually the outset. The downside for us freebie hunters it that you would be stuck if you could not get the number of greens you need. So, from the same example as above, once you specify a 20 ref custom order, you are stuck with that. If you go back down to 17, you need to get 3 more refs before you can verify. By contrast, if you end up with 25 refs, then you still only get paid for 20. The upside for GA is threefold. 1) Less admin work, 2) They get to keep greens on accounts that people can't complete and 3) They also keep any additional greens where people are forutunate enough to get extra. That is clearly a more profitable business model.

![]() | I see, makes sense now. In other words, you cannot change your gift, once you've chosen it that's it. That's pretty poor form I agree. |

It says you have to choose before you have 4 greens, not pendings, so you may be able to let them build up? And what happens if you are about to decide then a couple of greens come in and you go over 4, will they insist you have to go for the default gift? Could do with some clarification.

![]() ![]() | From a business point of view I think this is a good move. If it was a choice between this model and one where you could maintain the flexibility, but service levels drop (aka - current status), I'd pick the new rule any day. However, I do believe that out of fairness and for the sake of the loyalty shown by us as customers, this rule should only affect new accounts as of 01 Feb 09. Very unfair to change the rules half way through, and rather than a change in business practice this comes across as a move forced by desperation (i.e., they can't cope with the amount of custom requests).
