What are my options?

Alright here's the problem.

I kinda promised my other half an ipod touch for xmas, which I know is only round the corner now. I'd planned to get it as a custom order. She just text me asking whether I was gonna get her it or not, because her dad wants to buy her a speaker dock for xmas. I can't let her down and now her old man wants to get her a dock it's made things even more bloody difficult. She'll be really disappointed if I don't come up with the goods.

Problem is i've only got 6 greens on gameconsole.ga and the ipod touch 8gb is £155.51 on amazon, which is £5.51 over, and I don't expect special treatment or anything from Giveaway. Although it might be worth pointing out that I did get 2 greens too many when I ordered my xbox from them about a year ago, before the new features got implemented, just in case Tab sees this by any chance, although I'm probably clutching at straws.

Believe me i've been trying like crazy to get this extra green and i've got nowhere, just a huge amount of yellows. Ratio is like 1:50 or maybe even worse than that

Basically my back's againt the wall, and don't want my gf to think i'm messing her about, and her dad won't be too pleased either. Really can't be doing with screwing things up because we're doing pretty well at the moment.

So people what exactly are my options?

I would say your only option is a trade, preferably a green for cash trade. Just offer a tenner or something for someone to go green, but state that it must be one of the instant credit offers.

Not sure which offers they are, anyone?

I know that, but didn't realise how elusive this last bleeding green would be.

Just seen in another thread - Coral credits in an hour, so I'd pay someone £10 (more if necessary) to complete Coral. A tenner isn't much for your girl's xmas pressie, right?

Can't you get a custom order of a bank transfer for your 6 greens, then pay the difference for the ipod?

I hope you sort this out soon cos it might be a struggle getting it delivered in time.

No PayPal balance either? Then what about green for green trade? Alternatively what Florrie said, good idea Florrie.

Agreed, by the time they verify and get it sent, you might be leaving it late.
Get a bank transfer and get down to the Apple shop in Bluewater.

If you manage to verify without losing any of the 6 greens, I can send you an Amazon voucher to cover the difference. What the heck, it's Christmas

Mate, you don't understand how grateful I am for the offer, and it's reassuring to see good will this time of year, but really it'd only help if you sent the voucher to tab lol. Either way you're repped bro.

My greens would give me £150 in online purchases (£25 per ref). Problem is if I order amazon vouchers, i'll only get 90% of 6*£25, so i'd only be getting £135 in vouchers, and so there'd still be a pretty big shortfall.

I've looked all over the net but haven't managed to find one for £150, as it needs to be the new version with the games etc.

Ive got two options for you.
Firstly all gen ipod touches will play games, its just that the first gen ipod touch has a lower cpu the 400mhz and the second gen is a 533 mhz, both play games its just the second gen will play games better than the first. Also the second gen unit has a better battery life I think its 6 hours of video vs 5 hours for the 1st gen unit.
If playing games isnt going to be the main usage of the unit then you can get a 1st gen model at PcWorld for £126.50 as I said both will play games as the o/s is identical on them.
If a second gen is vital to you then you could ask Tab if he would get the unit from Dixons they are doing the second gen for £155.51 and use this voucher code at the checkout its valid until 22 dec
VOUCHERCODES3
This will bring the price down to £150.84 with free delivery. I am sure that you can sort something out with Tab that can cover the 84p it is Xmas

Hope this helps you
