Thanks
You can get as many refs as you like, but if you want cash then you will only get 90% of the £25 per referral.

Very confusing but thanks!

I have a feeling Giveaway would go back to being the most popular network if you just slightly altered that awkward rule...

Does that apply for Amazon vouchers as well? So many options, gota think hard about when to stop referring!

I am not sure what is awkward or confusing about it, I was also under the impression that other networks and sites had similar rules.

Basically its £25 per green referral, so if you get 20 green referrals that gives you £500 to spend on an item, should you want cash or amazon vouchers then you get 90% of that, £450. Thats it in a nutshell.

Sounds quite simple to me ... not sure what's awkward about it ??!

Its the same with FJ's & Kudos .... (prob other networks too i guess)
In fact 90% is very high as most networks only offer 85%

I (dont know about Mica) was getting confused because in the OP, it says
Quote:
# If you wish to receive Cash or Amazon Vouchers in place of the actual item you have verified for, we offer 90% of the item value
and since we weren't talking about items, or actual gifts, would the percentage be the same

hope that all made sense

Yeah Larkino has got where I'm coming from, although I think I forgot about the point that waf43 made.

Think I'm there now, and in that case, Giveaway are the best site to refer to! I think...?

I don't want to keep going over the same point but I think I see where Mica is coming from.

If we continue with the example of a PS3 for 10 refs...

If you have 9 refs you get £225 (9*£25)
If you have 10 refs you get £270 (90% of the value of a PS3)
If you have 11 refs you get £275 (11*£25)

As you can see it means that if you are only going to get one or two greens above the item value then it may not be worth it (depending on how many greens you get!)

I think the trick at the moment would be to get to 10 refs, take the money and then go and get a PS3 bundle!!

There is a new department on the support desk called "Custom Order Requests" where you should log these requests. The item will then be added to your account and you will see how many referrals are needed for that item. Best of all you can also choose to receive Cash or Amazon Vouchers for custom orders at 90% of the value. Again you just choose what you would prefer when you place your order. Custom Orders are worked out at £25 per referral. So a Custom Order that costs £200 will be 8 referrals. There is a 4 referral minimum on all sites except shuffle, which is 2 referrals.
The problem I've had is getting the custom order updated. I missed at least one verification because that had not been done (and still hasn't).

My VC bet is also still pending, i have sent a ticket and been told to get my ref to send a screeny and then it will be credited.

When i get round to it, i'll ring my ref and let her know, but its a bit of a pain in the arse having to chase up offers even when they do track and having to get the ref to send screenies and such like

The auto crediter deals with the day to day stuff but I don't think GA's script automatically turns the 28 day pendings into greens. My impression is that someone has to manually action that?

If thats the case Mr Furbs, then don't you find it annoying that the person who completed the offer has to chase it up.

If its tracked its tracked, surely having to rely on the person who completed the offer contacting support is a bit daft, even more so if they are website signups like you get.

I could be wrong but the LOVEFiLM updates seem to be done in big batches rather than automatic turning, as you might get on FJ for example.

So yeah, it can be a bind depending on when those updates happen. The trade off is the great design, rates and ratios that GA offers. At the moment, GA don't seem on the boil so the balance is swaying towards frustration in my humble view

Probably, yeah and they deserve to, but the slowdown in service happened before that (for me at least).

Certainly issues like the problems with sign-ups that others have reported ought to have been sorted, that is not good for the network if unresolved.
