I still dont understand either, the iphone is free tho on the higher tariffs if we take out a contract, so what use is the apple gift card going to be ?

How will you be providing cash for the 18 month contract?

Any chance you can allow the people who have all ready ordered the iphone , to be allowed to order an iphone plus contract for the reduced rates of 12 for 8gb and 14 for 16gb, like the other users who ordered before, as we are the same inconvenience

By that reasoning there is no need to use my site at all. I am not sure I understand? If you are willing to pay the high monthly tariff to get the iPhone free, then why are you using my site? The point is you do not need to pay anything if you receive a Gift Card + Line Rental for 18 months.

Makes sense - O2/Apple keep it so their policy that iPhones can only be brought with a contract, and you get the iPhone paid for in the form of a voucher or for the higher refs line rental paid for to

Am not really sure how this benefits me now. I completed and verified for a 16gb iphone at 7 refs. Expected delivery today. Now 1 day before delivery I am being offered a iphone with a contract which I could have got anyway.
Originally I would have got a free iphone put my current payg 02 sim card in and it would not have cost me a penny. Now I have to take a contract out costing me £x per month. So I feel the time and effort and cost I have contributed to gain 7 refs have been wasted. I know I can get an amazpn voucher but its value does not represent the value I would put a iphone 3g to.
Does anyone else feel the same.

with allrespect, this doesnt actually help if you cant (for whatever reason) get a contract.... can the apple vouchers be used for other items from Apple (ipods etc etc)

I am trying (not for free) to get 3 iphones + 5 other handset for work,.. bloody hard work!!! Carphone Whorehouse customer service is appalling!

It seems fair. There was no guarantee Tab could get the contract phones without you having to sign for a contract beforehand (allowing you to unlock it and use it as PAYG) so sell the Apple Voucher and get one on ebay or get something else with the voucher!

Im still a little confused :S If its the case Tab will send out the iPhones with a contact but its not active then its easy to unlock the iPhones. I can even put a guide up on how to do it to if need be. I would assume the contacts wernt active, I couldnt see how they would be unless Tab needed your card details and everything before shipping them :S

So if the contracts arnt active then its not hard to unlock, so once again the iphone will be on the lowest ref. rate. Problem is O2 doesnt let you leave without an active contract, this would get around it...

What a shame! I have 2 greens and 5 pendings and was crossing my fingers hoping you could pull this off. Very disappointing, but it was a gamble we all took referring people to giveaway at these lower rates.

In consideration of the fact that now a contract is required and I have more chances of being struck by lighting than getting approved for a contract is it at all possible to receive an amazon gift voucher alternative instead of the apple gift card?

They won't be sent out. This is the problem and what the thread has been about. Tab thought he'd be able to get them from his supplier like before, but now it transpires that isn't the case. Therefore, as I understand it, Apple giftcards will be issued for people to purchase the iphone themselves directly from apple.

It's not the result people were hoping for but we'll get £159 (in vouchers) for 7 referrals, that's a pretty good return.

Tab has never given any guarantees. Is it any different from promoting a site and telling people they can get sim free iPhones, when those clearly aren't (and won't) be available any time soon?

I have it on good authority that I can continue to buy the contract phones in bulk as I have been doing. The lowered referrals reflect that.

I don't think he was lying when he said that and he didn't guarantee anything by saying that so you can't blame Tab. It was your choice to get referrals knowing nothing was guaranteed!

It would have been great had he managed to get the iPhones without signing upto a contract beforehand but he didn't and I think most people expected this anyway. He is basically offering what he was offering in the first place anyway!

If your plan was to unlock it that was upto you but for 5 or 7 referrals you were going to be getting an iPhone that was locked as a contract phone. By offering the vouchers you can buy one on a contract so it's the same difference!

for those of you who think they wont be able to get a contract it may be worth checking if o2 will give you one if you pay the full rental in advance? back in the early days of mobile phones its what i did

one very simple way around this, suprised nobodys suggested it, is that tab can take out a contract and get multiple iphones on the same contract, then just give away the spare phones......(I doubt its really that simple)

I am currently buying some for work and I can have as many as I want on the same contract 1st one is free, the rest are £84+vat per phone
