Custom Orders.

Hey Guys and Girls....

We have recently added a new feature to one of our US sites and are thinking of adding it to one of our UK sites on a trial basis. Basically its a custom gift feature which lets you search Amazon yourself and find any item you want, the site then tells you how many referrals will be required for that item. You can then add the item, or search again. Restrictions are that you can only add custom gifts while you have no green referrals, as soon as you receive your first green referral the custom gift locks and you cannot change it (except to the standard gifts on the site). You can also not add gifts below or above certain price's. Apart from that anything goes. This removes the need to log a support ticket to add custom items, and just make the whole thing a lot easier.

Now firstly would this be something you would be interested in, and secondly which site would you suggest I stick this feature on. For info this feature also works with reset accounts.

One thing tho, not sure about the reason why you shouldnt be allowed to change your custom order after you get a green?

Nice to see custom orders being implemented on Giveaway. I would say it would be a good idea for some of the less popular sites like tiffany as it means members can get any gift.

Nice idea. I would suggest adding it to Nextgen or Gameconsole - they tend to be easier to get referrals for.

That would be a great idea, but I wish I could order a 32GB Ipod Touch on Ipodsgiveaway.

Put it on nextgen or ipods.

And can we really not order a custom if we have Greens?

sounds a good idea , could you add more than one gift at a time though ie pick 3 xbox games and a cable etc ?
the more sites you add it on the better as far as i am concerned lol
