Problem - help needed please

I spent alot of time and effort getting the 13 referrals needed for the ps3giveaway. Verification was on Sunday 15th July. After this date the message; "Your account is currently on hold as one of more instances of fraud have been found with your account. Please log a support ticket if you believe this to be an error." was listed on my account.

I know for a fact that none of those who signed up were from the same address/ip/e-mail address.

I raised a support ticket on the 15th, heard nothing, replied to the ticket on the 18th and have still heard nothing?

Can someone please help/advise what to do? I spent £70 for this offer and it seems i am being ignored by the support team.

Any help appreciated, thanks alot.

surely its to do with you, tell them if you need proof of id you'll email them a pic of your passport

i do think that giveaway are very wary if someone has an account of 13 corals...especially in a short time. They get the idea that you have walked someone through referrals maybe?

Of course they can!! They probably don't want to because it might mean you can prove them wrong.

I'm sure there are provisions in the Data Protection Act which say that if you make a formal request they HAVE to share any information they have about you - i would look it up but i go on holiday tomorrow and can't be bothered!! Just google Data Protection Act and see what you come up with for a start.

Also, by not giving you the information they are denying you a chance to explain or disprove their concerns, which clearly isn't fair. After you have researched the above send them an email stating that you formally request access to all information they have about you and you will be complaining to the data protection registrar if they don't. Also say that you will complain to their local Trading Standards Authority about the way the business is run as they are denying a fair chance to explain yourself.

If that doesn't sort it out then acually write to both of those bodies and ask them to investigate. Giveaway should at least be prepared to explain themselves if they have a genuine reason and proof as to why they should have your account on hold.

i got the impression, that whilst giveaway was a good network, they looked for reasons to not let you have a gift, at least until a month later.

Blimey, I joined giveaway because everyone said it was one of the best networks, now that I have people are saying the opposite. Given it's my first try at the freebie scene, this fills me with worry....even though I know I haven't broke any rules.

They can discuss it with you, tell them that unless they explain why, you will be taking further action involving a small claims court citing unfair terms and conditions to break an agreement between you and them as the reason.

You should of course try all diplomatic avenues before getting heavy handed and you should most definately check out the unfair terms and conditions act (google for it) to ensure that you have a case.

Good luck.

Nope, can't accept that. Most members will agree that giveaway are a good network and most people have got their gifts on time with no problems. A few have been put on hold but there's usually a reason for it.

Again I'll say it, giveaway are one of the best around. Personally i have got an ipod video, nano, shuffle, DS Lite, Mac Mini, voucher for a Wii and 2 PS3's from them. So, 8 items from them, doesnt that tell you that they are good?

If you havent broken any rules then I'm sure it will be sorted but you cant expect anyone just to send out a gift until everything is checked and if the affiliates arent paying for your signups then giveaway doesnt get paid.

Oh yeah I totally agree, its just that I've never done this before, and people are inferring that they may be trying be a little, I don't know, suspect about about this. Just makes you wary, especially on your first go. I still don't envisage any problems, although it is in the back of your mind until you've actually received your first gift.

Also, Kaiowas hinted they might not like people signing up to the same thing, is that true? Bit out of order if so, as I have no control over what offer people take up. So far I have 4 referrals in total, and three of them are Coral, from people I don't even know.

I agree that until you get your first freebie you are a bit wary and sceptical but this is why I think exceem is great as there are people here to advise or reassure.

as has been stated before, giveaway will only pay out once everything has been checked and they have been paid for your sign ups. If coral (for example) thinks there is something dodgy they wont pay giveaway until its been checked. Say for example they get 10 signups from the same village, they might not pay until checked. If they dont pay, then giveaway dont get paid and they are not going to give the person the gift until they do get paid.

So, in short, this may not be giveaways fault, it could be the fact they havent been paid.

i dont mean to be down about it but it seems people who concentrate on one offer have had major problems around here. I can understand that offers may be reversed if done wrong, or one of your referrals being put on hold, but what i do not understand is that you might be put on hold

Anyway as i say I am still one of these quasi sceptics as my item is verifying for monday

I can see where there coming from dont get me wrong, I have 13 easycinemas i guess it does look a bit dodgy but i have not walked anyone through...

And i asked them for a answer and got the excuse about data protection, i replied stating that i wanted a true response and i have not yet received a reply.

Dont get me wrong i am not doubting giveaways credentials one bit as people like articfox and Rav are constantly getting gifts. But IMO the best network to join is freebiejeebies, reason being good support, quick crediting and the admins are still on exceem

i know, i shouldnt be pessimistic, but i cant help feel worried, i have worked so hard, this is my second time. I was put on hold last time, the feeling is awful, i've read and re-read the rules this time and made sure to tread carefully, I really don't want the fact i broke the rules last time to make them mistrust me. My mistake was one of ignorance so hopefully shouldn't affect me this time.
