Question

Multiple accounts - help/ advice please!!

I'm after some advice please if anyone would be kind enough to help me out.

I've inadvertantly opened two accounts on both PS3 and 360 Giveaway - I won't bore you with the details but I was going to use a separate email address for freebies and then forgot. I've only completed an offer on one of each of the accounts and as soon as I realised my error I requested that the duplicate accounts be closed. I am about to start referring people but don't want to do a load of work just to have my account placed on hold because of this.

I've raised a support ticket, but the only response I get refers me back to the T&C's, which do state that multiple accounts will be placed on hold. I already knew this - what I wanted to find out is whether this still applies now that I have asked for these to be closed. I know ignorance is no excuse but it was a genuine mistake, and I have tried to correct it as best I can.

Sorry for the long post, but can anyone help with this please?

Blimey that was quick!!!

Thanks for the advice. I thought that would be the case, but was hoping otherwise. The Giveaway sites have the lowest number of referrals (as far as I can see) so I was planning to use these.
I can still do Nextgen I suppose.

Re: Multiple accounts - help/ advice please!!

I did exactly the same thing with Freeclickz.

After a few drinkies late one night I signed up to several freebie sites, then about a week later decided to set up a dedicated email address for freebies and registered with Freeclickz again. When I realised what I'd done I immediately contacted Woostar who closed the first account and allowed me to continue with the second. I made a point of asking if this issue would affect me when it came to the verification stage and he assured me it would not be a problem. I also kept screenshots and printouts of all correspondence to be safe.

It's a shame you can't get a more personal response to your query like I had with Freeclickz.

Thanks. Do you (or anyone else) know of anyone at Giveaway that I could contact by PM regarding this

Ok sorry, but I have already tried that and they wouldn't give me a definite answer so I thought I would ask here to see whether anyone else could help.

Now that's what I call good customer service and support. Well done Woostar.

3. Cancellation of Account

(a). For an account to be deactivated, please contact our support department at http://support.giveawaynetwork.co.uk

That's from Giveaways terms and conditions, if you have the other account deactivated, and I think by law if you request it they must remove ALL of your information, they would not be able to place you on hold?

Re: Multiple accounts - help/ advice please!!

I had a similar problem where I had two accounts at the same address, but then I realised that it would be classed as having multiple accounts even though one of them was my sisters. I emailed Giveaway and told them my situation and they deleted my sisters account. Since then I have been verified and am awaiting my free PS3. I have been really impressed with giveaways support system. Your situation may be different as you have completed an offer. Anyway good luck!

Re: Multiple accounts - help/ advice please!!

When I opened my second account I had completed an offer too. What Woostar did was cancel this second account and transfer the credited offer to my original account. I don't think it's something he would like to make a habit of but he was very supportive.
