Recorded Delivery?

Hi,

I was just wondering whether items are sent recorded delivery? If not can I pay a bit to get them delivered by recorded delivery?

TIA
Tom

Giveaway deliver via CityLink so you have to be in your house to receive your item as the driver will bring it to the door.

Recorded delivery with Royal Mail is a poor excuse for a service. I just send stuff with it and keep the proof so I have somthing to argue against ebay and paypal if somthing goes missing and it is not my fault!

"recorded delivery" does just what it says, it records when it is delivered. If you send something and want to track it, send it special delivery and increase the cost of postage.

It does not make somthing more reliable! It just proves you sent it and that SOMEONE picked it up.

If you send an item "special delivery", it is scanned at every delivery office that it goes to on its journey so if its lost it can locate exactly where it's went missing.

A recorded delivery travels with normal post and is only tracked when its signed for or attempted to deliver, at the other end.

I other words, a recorded is easy to steal but a special delivery is anything but.

Re: Recorded Delivery?

Sorry arcticfox, i did not mean it to be so insulting! It just sounded like you were getting into a cat fight with DariusTim, hence the "Meaow" and the reference to a cat aka "Pussy".

Do forgive me, and I will try to think more in the future.
