Question

Activation problems

Hi, new to all this but not doing too bad. I have a problem though and wondered what advice anyone could give.

My brother in law signed up for me to do a referral but for whatever reason his email account never accepts delivery of the activation mail. Looked in junk folders and everywhere else.

Have tried resending the link and have also raised a support ticket. Support had made replies in the first couple of days and also sent a security mail, which also gets dumped, but have now gone silent.

I have asked support what the options are now but still waiting for an answer. Do you think as he has never been able to activate this account that they will allow him to re register with a new email address?

Re: Activation problems

Well if the account has not been activated i would say re register. I'm 98% that should be fine. Welcome to eXceem anyway

Re: Activation problems

Which site is this? None of my friend referrals have been getting their WiiGiveaway activation emails, even after resending them!

Re: Activation problems

I'm having the exact same problems. The activation email never arrives in any folder despite repeatedly clicking resend. Also, after having contacted support they have sent security emails several times which never arrive. Finally, support told me that they'll have to assume that the email address doesn't exist therefore my friend can' register now!

It was PS3 Giveaway that was the site in question. I wonder whether it was because she was registering on a mac and the giveaway site wasn't loading properly. I don't know what to do... I'd ask her to try re-registering on my PC but then then our IP addresses would be the same!

HEEEEEEEELP!

So glad I'm not the only one though...

dont re-register whatever you do or that will break the network's rules of duplicate accounts! send a support ticket and someone will help you! i had te same problem with ps3giveaway and Tab sorted it out! hope that helps!

Re: Activation problems

It is not against the rules unless you activate it.

Re: Activation problems

Thanks for the welcome.
Guess I'll just have to wait for support to ok a re register, shame really as that would have been the last one I needed.
One of my others is stuffed as well due to the offer not crediting and I'm waiting on a support ticket for that too.

oh well guess I'll have to wait another month now to get verified.

This a great forum. Ive learnt a lot about these freebie sites from here, its also convinced a few family and friends to do the referrals for me.

Re: Activation problems

That is so bizarre - you're in the exactly the same situation as me! One of my referrals can't activate her account and another can't get his offer credited with lovefilm despite recieving several DVDs!

Although I'm verifying at the moment I can't be sure that all of my greens are valid, so like you may well have to wait another month to verify unless these problems are sorted pretty sharpish...
