Updates......

Hi All,

Hope you all had a great Xmas and New Year.

Few updates as I see that they are needed....

We have recently processed the LOVEFiLM credit reversals for November on all our sites, needless to say there were a lot. Like other Networks have mentioned, the reversal rate was over 60%. Now would be a good time for me to explain exactly how this works, and how we get paid from LOVEFiLM and other advertisers.

Firstly, we get paid from all our advertisers 2 months in arrears and always have, this means this month we will be getting paid for Novembers commission and so on.... Secondly, we do not get paid for those credits that are reversed. There are many reasons for credits being reversed, but credit reversals should not be confused with accounts being placed on hold. An account is placed on hold when the owner of that account has broken our T&C's, tried to defraud either us or our advertisers, or a complaint has been made against them from ebay or any other entity regarding spam. Credit reversals on the other hand, simply mean the user has not completed the advertiser offer correctly. I do not want to go into to much detail of how LOVEFiLM credit and reverse credit as it will no doubt make it easier for people to take advantage of the system. Needless to say if someone does not actually take part in the trial, by either cancelling before even receiving a DVD, not adding any DVD's to their list (a crazy percentage do this?!?), or by using incorrect card details which the initial signup process doesn't catch. Put simply, people have to actually trial the service for them to remain green.

There is of course the possibility that LOVEFiLM may have made a mistake with a few accounts, and they should not have been reversed. In this case you simply need to log a support ticket and provide proof that you have received some DVD's. Your account page on LOVEFiLM will log all DVD's sent and received with dates, so this should be easy to provide.

I am in the process of amending the sites to show when your account and those of your referrals have been reversed, rather than them just going back to yellow which is confusing. This should be done by the end of today.

Any questions on the above please reply and I will attempt to answer, although bare in mind that I cannot be to specific on the inner workings.

On a seperate note, there is a new offer rolling out on all our sites except PS3, iMac and Alienware. It's RoyalMail SmartStamp, which allows you to print your own postage on envelopes or labels including your own logo....

More news to come....

Nice you you to make a seperate thread for this issue rather than trying to answer people individually all over the place.
Also people should be glad that you simply revoke credit rather that putting them on hold, this gives people a chance to complete another offer and might save them from wasting an untold number of referrals as has been seen.

I haven't lost any of my greens since last time I logged in, infact I've gained one!

Is this an indication that none of them have gone on hold? (all but 1 are LOVEFiLM) The signups are mostly randoms from forums so I have no idea if they would of completed the LOVEFiLM offer correctly.

Also, I did add DVD's too my LOVEFiLM account but I never actually received any before I cancelled the account, they did send me a Christmas Card though, lol! Anyway, if I complete another offer now whilst they site already says I have completed an offer, will both be visibile to whoever is verifying them? Or will they only see the first and I won't get credit for the second? Just want to be on the safe side.

Cheers!

Re: Updates......

as i said in another thread:

if you got them in november they are safe, if you got any in december/january then those referrals are not safe, december rejections will be announced in the next verification process.

Tab i have a question....

Those who completed the offer incorrectly - will they be getting a note on their account telling them so - and will they have the chance to complete the offer properly, i.e. actually place that DVD in their list and get it sent!

Like I said above, I am in the process of amending the sites to show when you or your referrals have had an offer credit reversed. At the moment it just goes back to yellow which isn't very helpfull. Will be done by the end of today.

Unfortunately once the offer is reversed they will not be able to complete that offer again. They can however take up a different offer.

Ok thanks Tab - i wasnt sure if you were talking about the person who completed or the 'referee' who would see the note about the reversal. But thanks for the info.

Re: Updates......

I can see the smartstamp offer has been added already. Just reading the terms and I notice it only costs £4.99 for a months subscription. Does this mean a customer would pay £4.99 and be able to print unlimited stamps for a month, or is there a set fee per stamp printed after the initial subscription? The latter is what I am more inclined to believe.

Cheers.

the first payment must be for a minimum of 3 months and you only get to print stamps at home, you still have to pay for them and you do not get any free credit for doing this.

You still have to pay for the postage you use which depends on weight, size and class of the package.

But do we have to sign up for just one month or three, it's not very clear.

the minimum sign up initially is 3 months at £4.99, then you can stay on after and pay the £4.99 monthly.

If you decide to pay monthly, the minimum subscription period is 3 months.

Re: Updates......

I've a similar question about the requirements for easyCinema - what do you have to purchase to get credit for that offer. It just says 'sign up, purchase some credit and start receiving dvds'

Does this mean the min requirements to complete that offer are to purchase the £7.96 4 credit package?

Re: Updates......

DrPrize, ive recently completed EasyCinema, all you have to do is purchase the 4 dvd package (£7.96), and receive at least 1 of those dvds, although you may aswell receive all 4, seems you payed for them
