  | dissapearing giveaway greens!Yo, I checked my status this morning and it shows i only have 6 greens on my sonyps3 account - when yesterday i had 8 (as my signature shows) !!! The greens have not been put on hold but have simply dissapeared!!!! I dont know whats going on - i have submitted a support ticket and hopefully it is just a glitch or something but i am now quite worried! Check your accounts - has this happened to anyone else???? Tab - if you are reading, can you shed any light on this?? thanks |

| Re: dissapearing giveaway greens!That was my quote from a Giveaway verification thread. It's probably best to keep the conversation here. I think what you are looking at is just a different way of handling the LOVEFiLM declines. Some networks choose to put users on hold, Giveaway simply reverses the green and turn it back into a yellow. People can then presumably do another offer (properly!) wihtout having their accounts on hold. I'm not speaking for Giveaway here, just my view on how it seems to work.

| Re: dissapearing giveaway greens!I see - thanks furb, but i thought lovefilm had just bought out screenselect - how can they be in decline??? what is going on with them?? Either way - if people have paid for the trial, surely lovefilm have to honour this any pay giveaway for the refferal, and hence the green should remain green! This all seems a bit funny to me, and i dont like it! :P Could it not just be a glitch on my account? I think tab should really clear this up with me, or i will wait for a response from the support team! |

| Re: dissapearing giveaway greens!LOVEFiLM will only pay out an advertising commission where the referral signs up and physically receives at least one DVD during their trial period. If the person cancels before they receive a DVD, then Giveaway wont receive anything. That is what you are seeing now - LOVEFiLM has recently issued a list of those people who did not complete the requirements properly** (and have therefore been "declined" for commission). Giveaway use that to update their own system and reverse greens accordingly. In my humble opinion, it would be far simpler to leave the referral yellow until the first DVD is shipped. At least then, when it goes green it should stay green. Not that I know the system in enough detail really, it just seems logical. **For November sign-ups. A further list for December is due soon, so maybe more bad news to come.

Is it possible for these people to continue and receive their DVD and go back green again? so does that mean that lovefilm pays giveaway, and then takes the money back once they see they havent got their DVD??? all seems a bit silly to me really - and a bit of a blow for my PS3 campaign! |

| Re: dissapearing giveaway greens!No idea, sorry. Edit - If I had to guess, I would doubt if the person would get a credit from LOVEFiLM even if they reinstated the account. It may be possible to take up another of the offers though. Anyone else know?
