Trevs spat his dummy out!!

i have now had 3 users go on hold now that my acount is being verfied?

but most of the users registered over a month ago.

so why is it they get put on hold now and not when you credited there offer and they were green 4 weeks ago.

im really upset as it like 3 steps forward 2 steps back with the giveaholdawaynetwork
and in the years ive been doing sites this is the only site that ive had people go on hold. maybe im just lucky

when i contact them they claim they havnt got a clue why there on hold?
and i know that affiliatefuture dont take the commission back from you after 4 days as thats the deadline for publishers to submit a claim back.

if i ever do manage to get somthing from this site
it will be the last time i complete a giveaway site as the whole experiance has put me right off and if i could have turned back the clock i would have signed up to another site for the gift.

Re: Trevs spat his dummy out!!

I was half way through writing a rant about giveaway when I noticed the above message pop up in the "spy" option so I thought it would be best just to have the one thread.

Anyway, my rant. Yes, I appreciate how big the giveaway network must be but the reason they have become big is because of normal people just like you or me, who then refer other people and so on. A good company relies heavily on good feedback and good customer relations.

My problem is this...
my first item promised me a free 30GB ipod video in black( it came white)
my second promised me a 4gb nano in pink, it came in blue
my third problem is that I am now processing for a NEW shuffle and dont know what will arrive, old or new. the old is no use to me and would prefer amazon or paypal equivalent if the new one wasnt available.

I have sent support ticket and posted on here but have had no response from Tab or support, surely there is more than just Tab running it? I have a wrong colour nano and I want to know how this can be put right. All i would like is some reply to let me know what the situation is because after all I am refering people to go to his sites among others.

If some networks can answer questions quickly why isnt the giveaway network? People will look at Trevors comments and be put off the giveaway network especially when others are quicker these days.

Tab, if you're readin this, please let me know what the score is because Xmas is fast approaching and I don't wanna let people down.

Re: Trevs spat his dummy out!!

each network is different in how they handle reversal's of offers, and remember the giveawaynetwork has the best part of 3/4 million customers judging by the numbers on the ref links

I realise that the giveaway network is big but a simple, "we are looking into it" or something like that would make me feel a little bit more at ease.

Re: Trevs spat his dummy out!!

I had the same problem on wiiforfree, Kello. On verifying, one my referral went on hold. Luckily, it was a friend, and by being in contact with him and ForFree4U, the issue was resolved. My friend came off hold and I was verified.
I have to say, the ForFree4U network is very fast at replying support and messages. And they do their best to help you.

P.S.: Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

Re: Trevs spat his dummy out!!

Can I ask a question?
How would you do it? (that's a proper question, not just a retorical one) ~ to constantly update several hundred thousand members accounts daily (or even weekly) would take a team of 50 sifting through data 24/7 365.... it just isn't possible. I know it's really hard and disheartening but seriously, it's impossible: not to mention that we may have checked an account only to have their offer rejected by the merchant 30 days later (and that happens more than you realise).
I don't know about Giveaway but I would imagine (like us) if they spot any fraudulent accounts they ban them straight away. But at the end of the day does it matter if they go on hold within a minute of us realising, or when you submit for validation (they're gonna go on hold eventually, and still results in the same amount of referrals).

Re: Trevs spat his dummy out!!

sorry maybe i was out of order.i had some very bad news sunday night
and on reflection maybe i took it out on giveawaynetwork.
But it doesnt half **** you off when you work hard to get them refs
and you cant help but feel like your being well and truly shafted.

as tab has said in another post that the network makes profit on putting acounts on hold.

but its a shame that the refer suffers also.

as the acounts that are put on hold are usually due to the person trying to signup via the same ip again.

but im sure you will agree with me when i say that regardless of the person having tried to pull the wool over giveaways eyes.
he or she originally completed a offer themselfs that would have resulted in commission to the giveawaynetwork.

plus say for arguments sake that they got there friend to do a offer on there pc via there same ip address this would have still resulted in commission for the giveaway network if they completed the offer again.
via submitting diffrent address and diffrent debit info.

thats what upsets me. the person thats on hold should be on hold
its just a shame that the referer has to suffer.

as im sure giveaway network could still honour the green to the refer if they wished. I wouldnt be suprised if there not put on hold until there near completion of the site.

anyway rant over.

Not completely outta order (and sorry, that looked like it was directed at you: it was an open question) ~ I know it can be very frustrating... just when you think it's all over you have to get another referral. Bare in mind that we don't actively seek any ol' reason to ban members and a percentage of those put on hold are because of merchant reversals.
It's very hard to get the right mix between referral rates, rules and offers ~ you start lapsing on the rules and then referral rates go up to make up for the short fall. Dunno about anyone else but I'll always listen to sensible suggestions.

Damm right, i completely agree with Trev's comment, that pisses me right off, as i had to fart around getting other refs after my original 10 for my xbox360 on giveaway. It is a ridiculous rule and is an unfair way to cut costs. I know all businesses try to find ways to save expenditure, but surely it is important to value the customer, and not use a lot of beaurocratic rule milarky to catch people out!

I think so, so long as someone goes via the giveaway site and completes an offer, they get commission.
