![]() | basically everybody here knows what FreebieJeebies is. No ref links please, it's against the rules :/ This forum isn't meant for getting refs, most people here are already signed up with a network. And if they aren't, they'd probably end up joining a conga if they're gonna sign up.

| Mr Baldy Chicken | I think what needs to happen is FJ/Kudos banning anyone who spams their reflink on here. |

![]() | I remember doing that when I first joined though. No-one ever reads the forum T&C's. I've seen on other forums, that as soon as you sign up, you automatically receive an email from an admin. Surely this would be the best way to send out a nice welcoming message just warning them!

"Sign up to eXceem, a forum dedicated to incentive sites for some great advice on how to get referrals, and to participate in trades." i think users see this and think wow i can get refs from there too, im gonna go spam | |

Maybe a pop up on the forum from all forwarded links from FJ pages?

![]() | Is there no filter that can be activated for specific website links? Like, something that would automatically block every link to FJ that's located within a post? Surely there's no need for FJ links other than referral spam? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | For things like that the forum needs updating. The easiest solution would be to edit the link to exceem on the network sites to reflect the no ref rule as that is where the ref link posters are coming from.

![]() | Personally I can see both working, but really, when it comes down to it I only find nuisance in the fact that we have so many newbies who come to the site and are instantly shot down as if they only came to spam their ref link. Of course I'm sure that there are people with such an agenda, but I'm fairly certain that it's not a great way to treat guests, whether they stay for a day or become a more permanent fixture, I'm sure we can all lighten up a little. |

| Mr Baldy Chicken | Personally, even as a mod I have no problem with people posting ref links... I know that makes me sound bipolar given my banning suggestion... but the trade system is so unused, and the congas move like a funeral procession - what do we have to offer new members....... perhaps the solution is to charge £20 to join eXceem and that counts as an offer completion!! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What about adding the no ref link rule to the forum registration page where they have to tick a box to confirm they have read and understood that they cannot post referral links on the forum? I know there is already such a thing on the form to confirm you've read the T&C's but they people just tick the box without reading them, if this one particular rule is clearly stated on the registration form they can't claim to not have realized it was against the rules. Maybe the forum banner could be edited to include the ref link rule? That way it would be displayed for all on all pages of the forum.

| blah blah blah | Most of the people who post ref links don't really care if its against exceem rules. Most post it and never return anyway so I don't see what the fuss is about. There are plenty Mods here to delete links and they are doing this just fine. I really dont see a couple links a day as being a problem, exceem has bigger problems than that.
