Is it Better to Promote Smaller Gadgets or the Big ones?

You know... I was wondering. Is it better to promote the smaller gadgets are the bigger ones?

You know, promote getting a free ipod shuffle over an iMac or Macbook pro?

Even though an iMac offers a stronger incentive, I was thinking that people may get intimidated by the amount of referrals the iMac requires.

Then there's the ipod Shuffle or Xbox Live - 12 months gold pass, which only require 2 referrals and are the easiest and quickest to earn, however the incentive for those are not as strong as the bigger rewards.

So, even if you were to be aiming for an iMac or Macbook pro, do you think promoting smaller gadgets make for easier conversions and faster greens? I honestly think it does, however, I'd like to know your perspective.

What do you guys think?

i tend to use the shuffle as an example and then add in somewhere there are other more expensive gifts such as iphones etc but off course they are a few more refferals i dont throw the number in there as it can dampen there spirit before they even get started. once they have a few methods of getting greens going for a smaller gift that 50 for a macbook does not seem so impossible. if tht makes sense

Well the emphasis on the question is really more about what makes for higher conversion, promoting small gadgets or bigger ones? Not about which gadget is better to earn...

Depends on your audience, if you target gamers then i would say promote the xbox live card as they would take more interest in it.

that's true.. too. But now it becomes a question of which niche makes for easier conversions as well. Either way that definitely works..

When I talk to people on Omegle and convince them how it works, I always use the example of an iPod Touch 8GB. It requires just 10 refs which they can easily get from their friends and also, it's a great product which can be considered as a costly product too... So, I don't know... Maybe this was helpful... Anyways, you're the one who taught me all this. How can I teach you a thing back?

I have to say I think the larger products are better to promote.

Your main obstacle when it comes to getting referrals is persuading them that it is not a scam. While I would shrug off getting a free XBL card or iPod shuffle as I know I could just go out and buy one if I wanted, a games console or expensive gadget would make me feel like it was at least worth looking into.

i think that it's better with smaller that need only few greens. people need more of that small gadgets that they find useful everyday but normally they wouldn't buy it.

For example..i would probably never buy iPod Shuffle even if i want it and i would really like to have it so when i see that i could get it just for two referrals then, heck, why not? even it is scam and in the end it turns out that i don't get it after two my friends joined it's not some hard work..so..whatever

i would join immediately which i did

MacBook pro, iMac, iPad or anything else that is above 20 referrals definitely and inevitably brings little doubt on all this and to get them you will probably have to put some more work in it and question that you will probably ask yourself when you first see FJ, Kudos or anything else "will i get it when i eventually get required number of greens?", "is this really possible?" and similar...which probably ends that you will check it later or you would do it when you have more time or something like that...but, in fact, never come back again.

Or it could be on some subconscious level: "Naah, i never got anything for free why even bother?"

So maybe if you promote something smaller and show them exactly how to do it or how you have done it so that they have physical proof eventually for them self is or could be winning formula. At last, that's mine opinion.

lets be honest once they have signed up and completed an offer who cares what they do or think (harsh) but thats the reality when it comes to most of us theres not alot of after care in this game.... theres a link to exceem cya!! ...... so its all about grabbing there attention and keeping it. there mind is normally made up in the first 10 seconds....

so you wanna hit a happy medium nothing to small that wont interest them but something usefull quite expensive to buy that does not cost to many refferals..... trying to hit a number that matches there easily pursuaded friends level
