Why .tk's aren't allowed??

Harvez has just told me that .tk domains are not allowed. He has said that they "mask the referral links". What does that mean? I don't get it...

Could somebody please explain to me? I'm currently using a .tk so I am gonna get some trouble...

why didnt you just ask in the same thread rather than start a new thread?

masking the url means, when they click any links it will still say www.****domains.tk instead of apple.freebiejeebies.co.uk etc

I thought you were offline ???

The link will stay like that? eXceem also masks the URL's, right? I still don't get it.

How, exactly, does exceem mask links?..

You can use 'target: _blank' on links on your website and i think that's not gonna mask them

When you click on a link in eXceem doesn't it say exceem.co.uk/go/xxxxx or something similar?

Yeah, but as i said, if you put target="_blank" in your link, like this

<a href="reflink" target="_blank">blah blah blah</a>

it will open in a new tab/window and will not be masked

Try it, might not be a great argument if your account gets put on hold though

It's not a difficult thing to test...

Click a referral link on your site. If you see freebiejeebies.co.uk (or .us) in the address bar, your link is legal. Simple

Thank you very much.

I haven't tested the link yet, will try today though.

I'm not good with code stuff though. PM how to fix the link or post it here? Just tell me how to do it. Thanks!

Actually, I believe you can use your own DNS with .tk, which means it wouldn't (shouldn't) mask the link.

But ONLY if you chose to use your own DNS (and hosting)
