I have just had 3 Santander Pendings go green from the 4th, 5th, 6th July! What a shock I got to see that! Maybe there is still hope for Santander!

Firedup is on a distinguished road
Just checked my account this morning to see that the 2 Santander referrals have gone green!!

Not as impressive as 20 but chuffed to bits that they've gone green!

Erm.. if there's so much trouble with that offer then why won't they just get rid of it altogether?

Because it's good to have reputable recognisable brand names working with us. If it weren't for the pending status issues you would all think it was a good offer - it is basically free to complete, and a bank account is something that almost everyone has. It can put people off if the offers page only seems to have gambling offers on; we like to have as wide a choice of offers for people to choose from as possible.

If we dropped offers every time we came across a problem, we'd have few offers left.

Lol, nope They are all definitely validated offers, I filtered them all out because the ratios people were reporting on here didn't tie up when I analysed the figures from our end. I thought either you're an exaggerating load of whingers or something was going wrong with the autocrediting

I'll run a validated offers report regularly going forward so that they are credited in a nice steady flow from now... can't believe I've just added all those greens to the verifications pile!

i've changed my mind. it takes a while to green up, but i've just had 6 greens over 2 accounts of a possible 7 pendings so im happy again.

santander is all good again.
as above a nice recognizable brand.
in fact, in reference to my earlier statement, i think i can now **** off, and FJ can keep banging away with their good calls ... lol

still a bit shocked at the greens coming through for everyone from the Santander offer, maybe it's not so bad after all lol.

My question is, why is it that when the offer was A&L hardly any went green but the Santander ones seem to have credited easier? I thought it was basically the same offer?

I had mentally subtracted these from my pendings total so was a nice surprise

It is strange, I don't think the offer itself has changed. I checked the reports from when it was A&L though and there were no errors - it's only since it changed that the creditor hasn't been picking up validated offers correctly.

Thanks for this Alex, if they start crediting on a regular basis i'll change my mind about hating the offer but for the moment it's going to stay on the dubious side.

What about changing the description on the FJ site to give just that little bit more info on the requirements instead of just "Open an account..." ?

Might make people more aware it's not just opening the account, there are conditions...

It is just opening an account - unfortunately there are conditions but seriously the site couldnt be clearer - see the screenshot:

That page has changed, it used to just have the vague details in small print at the bottom of the page, this may be a reason why Santander is having a better conversion ratio now, there was a thread a while ago discussing the requirements, and how hard it was to decipher what was needed.

Looking better all the time
