umm, how can they contact eachother without "cell phone usage" with facetime....
ummm, i thoguht that went over the phone network....
or is it wifi thing in them do work as free cellphone?.....

I'm a little disapointed with the design, I was hoping for them to make it similar to the new iphone design, yet it's the same as before more or less!

Facetime can only be used over wifi on iphone. Not sure how you will dial someone with an ipod touch though, maybe via email address?

Eh, although there is no denying how sexy the apple prods are, I can't be bothered with keeping up with the latest trends. I mean, they will make the first generation missing out really key things. I'm kind thinking it's a marketing technique, getting the customer to simply upgrade to the latest because they 'forgot' to add them to the first. Anyways! Back on topic!

The new Ipod Nano, sorry about the expression, but IT SUCKS.
The shuffle too.
THe only nice one is the ipod touch but I expected a little more from it too.

Pretty sure that's what it is! Also a way of maximising profit, keep the specs low(ish) as the parts will be cheaper.

Though having said that I do love my iPhone and am SERIOUSLY considering buying an iPad even though I know can't afford it and don't really need one!!

As said in this thread, they will be available to buy in 7 days, so that is possibly when FJ update the gifts and as I have said above, based on the prices these could be the refs required :

Don't do it! They haven't even added a camera on the blasted thing! Surely that would be a definite feature to it seeing as it's a media device and a portable one at that. Wait for the next one, It will be much better

Ipod Touch looks really nice, I already got a 2G and wanted to upgrade to iPhone 4 since I can get rid of my LG KP500, but now I'm tempted for a new touch since it's cheaper :/
