| iBook | Backlink questionIf I'd made a separate .html file name links.html, design it nicely to fit in with my website and put links with anchor texts etc but not but the page in the Site Menu. Then edit all my pages and but a small link named "Links" at the bottom of the footer; Would the links still count as backlinks and work for others? If so, I'd be interested in trading backlinks with some people here

![]() | Yes, the links will still count as a backlink, but unfortunately, your links page is likely to have a low PR, because you won't be building links to it, so you won't pass on a lot of 'PR juice' to other sites. A link on your homepage would be better value for the sites that you are linking to. I hope this is what you mean... |

| What to put... | I have the same thing on my site, a html page called links.html. They do count as backlinks as it is said by google webmaster tools and analytics. Like cameronlaw said, they won't be a good PR but i guess it's worth putting a few in there.
