  | How do I get started?Hey guys, I ve just signed up to a couple more fj sites and I think it's about time to maybe start up a website to help with referals, only I don't know where to start?!!  Any hints and tips would be greatly appreciated.  |

| hey and welcome. have a read around the websites section of this forum eXceem Freebie Forum there are various ways on getting started. ie the free route or paid. free route being a free blog at blogger.com (highly recommended if have no funds) or buy a domain name and get yourself some webhosting so you can set up a website. but yeh have a read around the forum first just to get some ideas etc |

| Here are some tips... 1) Set up a website that looks quite commercial. 2) On the "Contact Me" page, have a picture of a WOMAN in her 20s, trust me on this. 3) Have the email on that page set up with a girl's name. 4) Real life advertising beats internet advertising. If like me you find it hard to get your referral links all over the internet, get some business cards from somewhere like VistaPrint. I'm more likely to actually pay attention to something if I can physically touch it. 5) Place your business cards in places where your target audience would go. I go into my local Tesco, go to the magazine isle and just put one in the front page of each tech/games/car/(rude)girl magazine, just think of all the places you go if you're a 20-40 year old man interested in gadgets (toilets, newspapers, magazines, lottery stands .etc) 6) If your at school then it's a super bonus. Just make sure NO ONE knows you own the site, my site doesn't have ANY information about me. In school, every time you leave a classroom, put some on desks or by the door, ask if you can be excused to go to the toilet and put some there, go to empty classrooms at break and put some down and stuff like that. I've got more but I don't want to be here all day. |

| The only reason I can see that they still have an account is that they admitted it to FJ and they didn't realise they were doing anything wrong (  ) |

| Making a website, getting good at SEO, business cards, friends, flyers, facebook, gumtree, twitter, Any way you can contact people and tell them about your website really!!
