 | I need to know where these signs up came from?My website has been up less than a week, and by the second day I had 2 reds and a pending. I only advertised my website on a couple of blog comments, so I have no idea where these sign ups came from. I've not had any since so it's a bit frustrating that I found a way to get sign ups but I don't know what I did. Has anyone been in this position before? Can anyone think how I could find out? thanks ps sorry if this is the wrong section, I didn't know where to put it. |

| Thanks for the replies everyone! The problem is analytics says I have 100% direct traffic, which I know can't be right! Does anyone know why analytics would say this and not say where the traffic is coming from? |

 | if i saw a link somewhere and fancied opening it in a new tab i could right click the link and copy it, open new tab, paste it and then go to the url. unfortunately that wont give you a referring page and it may be what has happened here

I think it's more likely that your website didn't come up as a clickable link, just as text, meaning they would have to copy the address into the URL bar. That could be why it comes up as direct.
