Question

Home Delivery Network

I'm waiting on an Xbox from Amazon. The helpful people at FJ have given me the tracking number to find out where my parcel is, so I looked it up...

Has anyone had dealings with Home Delivery Network? Because I have no idea what that means! having looked at reviews I'm not hopeful that it will arrive by Christmas as people say they are crap.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks
Matt

Don't really think that this belongs in debating, but...

You reall have no chance of it coming by xmas, tis a bit late now.

However, it should get to you fine.

Have moved this out of the debating section.

What i think this means is that basically Home delivery have still to pick up the item from the supplier but have the details.

I rang them on Friday after getting a tracker number from FJ, it was due Tuesday but with it being Xmas and the bad weather i left nothing to chance and told them i would collect it from the Morley depot.

has to be 24hrs for them to pull it out and then you can collect.
i've had bad experiences in the past with HDNL so hence the above action.

Right, is there a way to find out which depot your parcel is at? Or can you choose one? Hitchin is probably my closest.

until the tracker system shows where it is you cant choose, but it will prob be the nearest to you anyway.

IIRC the status will be updated at some point today to tell you the package has been received at HDNL's depot (presumably the closest one to the pickup point) it will then be updated again when it reaches the depot closest to you. And again when it is loaded onto the van for delivery.

I got my xbox last week and I received it the day after receiving the dispatch notification email from amazon. Of course that was before half the snow in Siberia got dumped on the country.

tbh I had been a bit worried when I found out HDNL was delivering the package as several companies stopped using them during the last Royal Mail strike due to the number of complaints. But I've had no trouble with them.

I'm going to remain hopeful and wish it here for christmas! Just checked the tracking and it now reads this:

'21/12/2009 18:53:00 PRIME SORT The parcel has been sorted at our hub'

So, still not sure of its location, but it has been on the move!
