What are your thoughts? Is the 1st one any good? Are the differences between them worth the extra money? Thanks in advance John |

![]() | If it's just looking at photos, anything above £450 is excessive. I'm using a £350 dell inspiron 15 with pentium dual core and 3gb RAM, and it's plenty fast enough Last edited by cameronlaw; 21-12-09 at 10:32 AM.. |

![]() | That's what I was thinking, coz those graphics cards are good enough for some decent photo editing, but excessive for what you've listed. EDIT: That is unless you ant to do all of those things at once... Last edited by SometingStu; 21-12-09 at 10:34 AM.. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd go for the first one as it has a better graphics card than the other 2. I bought a Dell studio about a year ago with the view of only using it for the net and editing photos, but I now do much more than that including a blast of TF2 now and again. You should think about future proofing when you buy, as laptops can't be easily upgraded, so it's worth considering what else you might end up using it for. |

![]() | I've had the 13" version of these HP Pavilion laptops for almost 6 months now. It's a brilliant laptop, and I can't find a flaw in it! |

the HP DV6-1340sa 15.6" has the best processor. its only £80 more than the 499 so you may as well go for it, the 449 and 499 ones processors are outdated. you should check dell. they have some good laptops. am i allowed to say that? | |

| Mini Mac | Just a thought Channel, you know eXceem is quite live most of the time, threads that are even a few days old go in the past. Now, this thread is around 2 weeks old. The OP has probably solves his query by now and won't need any more help, though it is kind of you to offer it Just. When replying to threads, make sure they are fairly recent
