Some pages from my site are indexed. What should i do next. I have started creating backlinks but have not noticed any changes. Its been 1 week since some pages from my site was indexed. How do I raise my google ranking.

I know and want to start SEO, but dont know how to go about it.

Webmasters is saying when they last crawled my site they found all these keywords i dont know about

How do i change my key words so that it has an effect on my website position in google

how do i get a page rank !!

it takes time mate. things dont happen overnight. creating backlinks and pagerank takes time and patience. just keep doing more backlinks. making sure you also add your link to high pagerank sites. just keep going and be patient.

what else have you done?

lol a list???? theres thousands and thousands of sites out there. think high authority sites. think social networks.. other sites where you can create profiles and leave your url..

do you use firefox? do you have the google toolbar installed and pagerank indicator on?

if u use firefox instal seoquake plugin. this will show pr rank of sites when you do searches. it also shows other info too

What I want to know though is why exactly would a high PR site want to link exchange with a PR0 or PR1 site?? Doesn't do them any good does it!

If there are some that do... then I'd love to see a little list!!

the idea with the higher pr sites is to drop your link on there somehow.. not ask for link exchange but get one way links to yours.. now you could have your link on their site in various ways. commenting, sites where you can create profiles and add homepage link. sites where you can also make a blog post.. not a blog but a blog post which again includes a url to your site.. forum profiles and adding homepage links. ie popular forums online. just register and add your link in your forum profile hoempage details..

just some examples.......

hmm, k... I've done a bit of that, where you comment on something and can enter a website and your name.

In that situation is it a good idea to use keywords... eg: Free phone as your name which is a linky to your site?? I assume so!

I shall look around and do more of that, but then I'm rubbish at finding these sorta things!

I would put your name unless the site specifically says you can use keywords as your name. Even if it does say use keywords, don't use "Free" something, as it might get picked up by akismet.
