because this is a forum for freebie hunters, which means that we've all got our own accounts with the freebie sites and if we DID want to sign up to a new site we would do it in the trades section and get paid.

Also because everyone is after the same thing and this forum would be awash with ref links if they were allowed.

Use this site to help you get your referrals. DO NOT abuse the rules. Respect members.
DO ALL THIS and you'll see the freebies flying in!!
Would it not be worthwhile if this information was made more prominent on the site? As a relative newbie, I fell into this 'pit-fall', making the same mistake when brand new.

People are excited when they arrive. They have been told that this is the pathway to the prize that they felt until this point somewhat unachievable. When you get through the signing up, the forms, the email confirmation then you are hungry for those referrals and inspired like Joanna Lumley. It is not clear and Freebiejeebie sites lead you towards the thought that referrals are the way to achieve you item of desire. And, throughout the above steps, at no point is the referral rule brought to the attention of the new user.

I feel that all the correspondence that is written visa vi the posting of referrals would be time, eyes and typing saved. If only this warning which is considered fundamental to the site was made clear from the off.

Cheers

Freebiejeebies may recommend you to join eXceem but the common sense approach would suggest that with them referring all members to eXceem that the chance of getting people to sign up via your link would be pretty rare since everyone is after the same thing referrals. No-one ever said that eXceem would be the place to get your referrals, people are just lazy and should take more time to read through the rules and other posts before they make a post themselves, therefore allowing them to fit better into the community.
