Question

Need some Web CEO help

I know quite a lot of you use it, but I haven't yet got to the stage of even seeing my search engine rankings I have given it the name of my site, selected some keywords but all it shows me is how much competition I have, not my actual ranking Is it because my site isn't indexed yet? I submitted it weeks ago and it does come up in searches. I'm sure there's something simple I'm doing wrong, any help would be much appreciated

Well if you can see your site on google i assume thats what your search ranking is, if you want to you csan count how many links you are from the top link on page one.

But if you want to find out your pagerank (PR) go to this site

Google Pagerank - Find out and display google pagerank for your website

By the way, its SEO not CEO

No, I meant if I type in the name on google - it comes up. I just have no idea how high in the rankings it comes up if the keywords are typed in(free PS3 etc etc).

I tried that site and it came back 0/10, whatever that means

0/10 is a good start

n/a is the lowest so you must be doing something right to move from n/a to 0. 10 is the highest. But even sites like google aren't even 10, google is PR 8 currently and some people say that PR doesn't matter at all.

I just worked that out myself when i was looking up my website, i don't know if theres a way to do it. I just counted all the links

That's good then, hopefully I'll be able to get to the dizzy heights of 1 or 2 soon

If your site is showing as a 0 (and it is), it means google has at least found your site. Your site should gradually move up the rankings but its quite a competitive market when you take into account that most people on here seem to have a few sites.

Highest i seem to have been for free ps3 is 21st and now slowly sliding down but on the other hand moving slowly up for free wii

try this,

open webCEO and select the "check rankings" in the quick start thing.

in the site rankings tab select the drop down box that says "default profile" from the menu select "edit profile".

select the search engines you want to check and then click the "add keywords" tab.

click the "add keywords manually" button and add some keywords seperating them with a new line.

now when you are done check the boxes of you selected keywords (5 at a time) and click ok.

you should now be able to hit start and it will check your ranking for these keywords.

Thanks, but that's what I've done and all I get is the number of other sites with those keywords. Here's a screen capture:-

Sorry for the huge pic
