Did freepay account ages ago to get a ipod touch from gifts, was ordered and got package, only to find that were sorry package around it from royal mail. the ipod had been removed and just all that was left was leaflets :@:@:@ Well annoyed robbin B*****ds

ive complained to royal mail , any other suggestions?

well i used to work for royal mail in the main sorting office leeds, and the parcels dont go through machines like the letters do. they do however from time to time get used as footballs or when sorting them the sorting bags are on a stand which has 12-14 bags if the parcel ur sorting is for say scotland and scotland is 10 bags away rather than walk round u launch the parcel towards the bag if it makes the bag sorted, if not and lands in the liverpool bag then whoops it has a trip to liverpool.

seen many a thing during my 16 mth stint at royal mail night shifts where more entertaining laggy band fights etc.

as for your ipod going walkies, id put money on it that someone has walked with it, after a while u know whats in parcels by shape size etc.

Get in touch with Freepay too and explain what's happened.. Did you have to sign for the package? If you did, I hope you signed it as *Unchecked* - ALWAYS sign everything as unchecked and call straight after you receive it if there are any problems. It'll look better for you!

As harvez says, its not hard to know sometimes whats in an amazon package. I think the original poster is saying that the package was placed in a "damaged" bag so they should be able to trace roughly where it was "damaged" about but at least this proves that the package had been tamperred with at some point and that the poster didnt just mke the story up.

Usually amazon items (in our office) come in together and are scanned as they are distributed/chucked/thrown/dropkicked into individual walks.
