he doesnt actually have the amazon vouchers yet i dont think so as its freebiejeebies im quite sure they wouldnt mind changing the order to £500 worth of tv from ebuyer for the same refs. as i got a £300 tv from ebuyer for 15 refs on sports.freebiejeebies

EDIT I would go as far to say freebiejeebies would prefer this as they dont get the vat back on amazon vouchers

Fair point...theres a few deals on it as well, free stand being one. That would be very useful!
Some of the reviews contain people with some issues. But at that price and if it does what it says its meant to do, it's an absolute bargain!

Re: Shiny Telly

buying tellies is like going to B&Q ... there is ALWAYS a deal on, always money off, allways a sale. Dont get suckered into "£300 off..." etc ... look at the tele, make sure it has the features u want, and then ask is it worth it for the CURRENT value, not the money saved ...

i've fallen into the trap ...
only once mind, but after spending money on complete shiit, simply beacuse of money off, it has made me very warey ...lol

lol what free stand? i just checked and it brings the price from £499.99 to £500.01

so it costs you 2p

would freebiejeebies go over the £500 limit for 25 referrals lol that would be a shame if they said no

Re: Shiny Telly

I think as you stick with one of the big brands - Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, Philips etc you should be ok, all produce quality TV's and while different models from each brand will have slight advantages, overall any TV from them will do the job for joe average

As for stands, some of the stands I like cost more than the TV

Re: Shiny Telly

more importantly for me, it would be really easy to hide the wires from view, as they can all be stuck to the central column (wires on display drives me mad)

Re: Shiny Telly

Don't know whether I'm just picky, but any form of LCD screen looks pretty terrible in my opinion unless you've got sky HD or some other HD service. Still, for future proofing you might argue it's worth it. Only if you get 1080p that is though.

All depends on the screen size - 1080p charted: Viewing distance to screen size - Engadget HD

Re: Shiny Telly

Can someone (prob Jon!) explain the difference between 1080i and p! I know it stands for interlaced and progressively scanned images or something along those lines! but after tht i'm a bit confused! Cheers.
