When are gifts given on Kudos?

I'm already paying for P&P which is almost £200 (I took that into consideration when trying to get those vouchers). From what I have left in my bank account after paying student fees, etc. I am exactly £4 short of placing my order.

Hence why this is such a big problem.

I'm complaining about not keeping one's word, and yes the exchange rate changed to both our favours so while at the time it was worth $980 and you still said you'd givbe me $1000 now it's worth $990 so it's even better for you.

As luck would have it though Amazon.com has reduced the price of one of the items thus allowing me to JUST about afford it.

Next time though keep your word because you have been friendly and helpful but telling someone something and relegating on the deal is not a quality anyone should have. And I know from what you have done for others that this isn't usually you so I've just been handed the short end of the stick.

hollerme...normally I would have said that this is between you and kudos and this should have really been done by PM or support tickets. Because you are posting it in public means it does become our business.

I have to say that I am amazed by your attitude and very disapointed. Most members here would be grateful for such a large sum of money. It may not be what you thought you were going to get but it wasnt exactly a huge difference.

I assume this was for 25 refs? Other members would have got £500 amazon vouchers and this would have been a fixed amount but you asked for american vouchers. If the exchange rate had worked in your favour and you had got over the equivalent of £500 then some members would have quite rightly felt it wasnt fair.

If we sign up for a gift and the item maybe comes down in price, we may get less £££ for it but still use the same amount of greens, or sometimes they will drop ref rates and people will get an item they didnt have enough greens for, it really is the luck of the draw.

I can remember back when giveaway sent out amazon vouchers instead of wii's, the vouchers were 79p short but people were just happy to get a freebie.

Please remember the fact that Lee chose to do this for you when he could have easily said it was UK amazon only.

Please remember that you got a huge amount and sound so ungrateful, in my opinion. Lee and the other owners work damn hard to try and please the members and offer custom offers when they dont have to.

I'm sorry for my tone but if owners start to feel like custom offers will result in posts like yours, they will wonder whats the point in offering them.

I'll finish by saying that if you arent happy with kudos, then you have the right to use another network but the fact that you got so many greens on kudos suggests that you found it easy to get referrals to sign up to it, what does that say to you?

I think that though it is an eloquent post and has its merits, you really need to step outside the box and imagine that you did not know Kudos or I up until this point. You will then see both our arguments; we both have faults but we also both have our merits.

When someone agrees via PM for $1000 thus solving that person's problem with being a few dollars short and then restates that promise, then you expect the promise to be kept. Each green is worth between £15-£20. We all know that with custom orders people get items worth slightly more or less than the price.

I respect Lee for doing what he does, I really do, and wish him all the best. And no, getting those referrals was extremely difficult for me, EXTREMELY, considering many are still pending because the sponsors are so slow to update, or that it takes me hours to convince someone to do this for me. But as I said, he promised me twice thus making me smile and realize I could get all the items I wanted only to change his mind when it was time for the deal to be made (even then on Support he told me I would get $1000 after reminding of our deal).

On the other hand if he had told me we are sticking to the exchange rate, it would have been disappointing, sure, but I would have known beforehand and would not be making a fuss. Instead he told me happily I would get the $1000 voucher which made me happy and praise Kudos to everyone, and now I'm the one who had to wait to get some extra money in the bank to afford the items I was supposed to get with the voucher he had told me I would receive (thank God for Amazon reducing their prices on that item!).

So please, see things from my point of view. There is no black-and-white. A broken promise is a broken promise. And that promise was made twice.

for heavens sake its only 4-5 pound. if you really needed the things you were ordering how hard would it be to just put that 4-5 pounds in the bank. if you didnt have it, im sure you have a friend or relative that could have lent it you if it was 'urgent'.

Because it takes 2-3 days for it to be in my account. And besides there is also the entire speech I gave about keeping one's word. It is a strong belief of mine that with a person's word comes their conviction.

You obviously didn't read the thread otherwise you would not have stated the last sentence.

1. After paying off student fees, etc. (I include food and items for survival too) I was out of money. In other words broke save for the money in my bank account BUT that was being used to pay off P&P. I then needed that tiny extra to be able to place the order hence the importance.

2. WE MADE A DEAL. At that time the dollar was in fact stronger as £500 was only $980 yet he promised I could get the $1000 which I thought was very gracious of him and told this to everyone both online and off in an effort to have more people sign up with him.

The dollar actually became weaker (£500=$990) so it was actually better for him. I also reminded him of our deal in the Support section as he had asked. He said he would do it.

And then relegated on it.


There is no excuse for breaking one's promise twice.

actually i did read it and i am quite shocked.

i very much doubt you have been done by the network, you will have been treated like everyone else, and been given the amount that it was at the time.

as Lee said earlier, you must have misunderstood. he cant agree on an exchange rate a week in advance. by the time your account had verified and everything it could have changed.

And yes Flashheart, I do want to move on but now you are making wrong assumptions and must clear my name before I can do that.

I could not have misunderstood anything, the answer by Kudos in the PM is as clear as day, there is nothing to make you want to question the answer.

I will not post the PM here unless Kudos approves. If he does I shall post my question about the $1000 and his answer that confirms it.

I did PM and received no response. I also contacted him and it is only now that this thread is becoming popular that a response was given. And besides I didn't start the issue as an attack, I responded to his post informing him that he had made a mistake and reminding of our deal.
