Freepay problem selecting gift:

Hi,

I've advised a friend to sign up to freepay to get a free ipod touch 8gb for 5 referrals, however he cannot select his level 1 gift on the sign up page - the drop down box is blank!

Now I know the default gift is a level 3 iphone at 12 referrals, because the same thing happened to me. I just signed up with the gift box blank, presuming you could change the gift at a later date, however many of you will know that this is not easy.

I'm worried a lot of my referrals will be put off by this. They will want a gift that requires a low number of referrals but will be unable to select it, then when they realise they now need 12 referrals to get an Iphone they will just give up!

Does a rep from freepay come on exceem at all, and if they do, do you think they could address this problem?

Unfortunately gratisaaron never seems to come online- so as far as contacting freepay goes- your best bet is through a support ticket.

you could ask them to cancel your account, or your friends if you want a different gift level

then sign up again

You can't do that I don't think.

Sign them up, and tell them to send a support ticket for them to change the gift manually.

Re: Freepay problem selecting gift:

hey prettyfly,
i too had this problem, but found a solution.

When i signed up the box was blank for me too and i couldn't change it, but i went on and signed up.
Then when i signed up it said i was going to try and get a free iphone like you said, but i knew i wouldn't be able to get that may refs).
However, there was a drop down list to 'change your gift' and the list consisted of all the gift on all the different levels (because i didn't select a gift from a certain level on the sign up page)

so i selected my ipod touch and off i went. But because i have selected an ipod touch i can now only change my gift to other level 1 gifts.

hope this helps you!

Re: Freepay problem selecting gift:

You can always email them if you signed up recently and say you accidentally chose the wrong gift. Say you won't be continuing with the site if you can't change because you want an ipod not an iphone. They'll probobly change it for you then with a bit of luck!
