Happy New Year All!

But, I not only wanted to wish you all a new year but to also let you know since joining this site and getting back in to the freebie scene I am now im verification stage for my 8gb itouch from freepay!

If you wanted to know how I did it then below is a small tiny guide...

1. Build a site
2. Make your site SEO friendly
3. Pick decent keywords for your site
4. Make sure your site converts! (E.g. do some testing)
5. Start building backlinks to your site
6. Sit back and relax...

Ok it ain't much of a guide but it shows whats possible within a month or so with just a web site and Google!

90 percent of my traffic was from the search engines and the other 10 percent was from here and other sites I marketed on.

Oh I also got my last green 2 hours from 12midnight yesterday lol...

Sure no probs, I'll try and explain this the best I can, I sometimes go a little over board when explaining things...

Anyway number 4, making sure your site converts!

The best way to explain this is simply this, when you look at your site and its explaining how to get a free gift do you believe it or not?

We then work out how well its converting by looking at our site stats (e.g. visitors to our site) and if we have a ratio of 1 out of 10 converting to a yellow. thats a 10 percent converstion ratio to your site which is damn good.

Any site that converts between 5 percent to 10 percent is pretty decent, any higher and your laughing.

But then its easy to convert some one to a yellow, the hard part is making them go green. That's why a good sales pitch works great, if you can convince the user that you are honest and telling the truth then you will dominate any market.

Number 5!

Backlinks are sites that link to your site, let's say for example this forum, I have my web site URL in my signature. Doing this gives me a one way link to my site which Google gives me a bonus in the search engines.

Backlinking can get complicated but don't let it scare you, always look at it like this, the more people that link back to you the better. But the more people who have sites that focus on the same theme as your site then thats even more better!

I'd do some research on backlinking, there is so many different ways of getting backlinks, some good and some againts the rules of Google which I won't get into.

There is many free web tools to check this, one site I like to use which is free is Nashville Web Design - SEO, SEM, PPC, and Web Development in Nashville which is a free SEO reports web site.

Or you could just type links:www(dot)yourdomain.com

Has to the question on how many visits a month I get, right now I'd say roughly around 5000 a month.

I have not got an exact read out yet since I have changed stats programmes within the last month.

Yep but whats even more amazing is that some poor sod was working that day for Freepay lol

Though I can say since the new year visits are now going up, around the holiday period I was getting roughly 150 a day visitors but yesterday I am reaching 200 again. Sign people are heading back to work and have nothing better to do then surf the web, like I am doing right now...

wow that's amazing gary! I really need to think about getting more backlinks myself as I'm only getting about 10% of what you seem to be getting and no greens, only yellows, seem to be coming from them lol

Thanks man really appreciate the kind words, I believe motivation is key to any success when it comes to web sites or anything in life really. I used to be really bad for motivation and lazy and always wanted the quick way of doing things but quickly learned that patience and hard work gets you far.
