| iPod 20gb | Question: Hows it actually possible?Hello all, I might be having a stupid moment (Since I have a cold and have had one or two of these moments this week) and wanted to ask a simple question... I been doing some maths, I do affiliate marketing and know what kinder percentage a person would get for being an affiliate with the offers given to us on the freebie sites. The maths don't add up, take freepay for an example, they want 5 referrals for an iTouch so in all they would roughly get around £60 for you and the 5 referrals. Seeing as the 8gb is £189 on the market I can't understand how this actually works, now I did hear that the companys within the offers section they give out the free gifts? Is this true or am I missing something here? Thanks Gary |

| Mr Baldy Chicken | Re: Question: Hows it actually possible?you have to allow a certain number of greens from people who will never complete, the quitters, the forgetful, and the quitters. This often gives rise to accusations that accounts get put on hold to cover the cost of gifts, but it is normally the people who give up that subsidise the masses. Of course all sites have different business models, most allocate about £20 per green.

| iPod 20gb | Re: Question: Hows it actually possible?I kinder thought it was a numbers game, and like stated people who sign up and just don't carry on getting referrals etc, I'd also say its also down to a fair amount of people who stay subscribed to monthly sites maybe... Thanks for the posts guys. Gary |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Question: Hows it actually possible?Freepay are obviously doing something right though cus they've been around for so many years! As well as that it looks as if they're doing really well recently with the amount of gifts they send out. I would really like to know how they afford to send out those ipods for only 5 referrals! and an iphone for 10 referrals! Surely they can't just count on those who give up referring or run out of time to gain their profit? Especially if they allow you extra time to get your referrals?! Maybe those ringtone offers pay big bucks? Hmmm... |
