![]() | Covering up your refferal links on your websitesI thought it might be a bit of help to guys running their sites if I could show you how to create a small script to cover your referral links so people don't go changing them before arriving at the site. First of all create a new file on the main area where your web pages are, call it something like links.php. Now edit the file. Enter the following code: Quote:
Lastly, update your original link and point it to the name of the file you just made (links.php) If any one has any questions, or needs a little help, I'll explain

I told him to remove his ref link, then noticed it wasn't actually a ref link and felt silly. Actually i might click it to see if it is ref link know i say that. I think it just looks like one but we'll see! EDIT- Hmmm, its not a ref link as such, but might want to remove it anyway. Though probably too late to edit.

![]() | Re: Covering up your refferal links on your websitesOh, sorry, just made up a random link that would look like a ref link. This method is perfectly legitimate, although by covering them you're less likely to lose a referral. Just an idea. |

![]() | Re: Covering up your refferal links on your websitesOh, ok. Sorry about that, from what I understood, its a simple idea designed just to cover the links, although as most people as using images for the links does it make much difference to the networks? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Covering up your refferal links on your websitesWait, i think there is some confusion. You can't URL mask the link. Once someone clicks it it must show up in the address bar as whatever.ref=11111 or whatever. But making it so you click on a picture or a single word etc. to take you to the site is fine, just so long as when they click the address in the address bar is your full link and not something masking it. |
