if only it was as easy as making a site and BOOM!! you've got loads of referrals coming in daily... its not like that, theres a lot of work involved promoting your site etc.

Look around the forum and I'm sure you'll find a few tips. Essentially you want the maximum amount of people to visit your site so think of ways you can advertise it and get people on to your site. No one is going to tell you their referral methods if they're working well as it'll mean less for them.

great ideas and advice ppl, some of u really know ur stuff. just a quick question, when u guys r talking bout starting a website do u mean having to buy a domain, then pay for adwords etc to get visitors? i have done this before but it ended up costing me aload of money for the sake of maybe getting a couple of referrals. e.g to get on first page of google was around £30 a month. am i going the wrong way about it? any info much appreciated

To make a website you'll need a domain (name.com) and hosting (e.g. 000webhost.com) where you upload your site to.

You don't have to pay to get to the first page of Google, but it is one way of doing it. Another way of getting high up in the Google rankings is through backlinks (links pointing to your site with your chosen keyword as the anchor text). You can get these for free, and in the long run would end up being better then paying.

Take Furbs for example, he has done a lot of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and now ranks number 1 for "free iPhone" and on the first page for "iPhone". As you can imagine, he gets a lot of hits from this, and a lot of referrals too, but it takes a lot of work and determination to get those sorts of results.

it works because of affiliate marketting. You sign up to a freebie website and complete an offer. The Freebie website gets some money when you do this. after this you get a few of your mates to sign up under your referral link (which will be provided when you sign up) and they should also complete an offer. In return, the Freebie site will get more money. It's with this money the freebie site is able to buy you you're gift.
There are loads of offers to choose from, including free trial offers (Free! ) and also some cheap offers (only £10 - plus you get the chance to make your money back or win something with some of these offers). Once you complete one offer, thats it, no need to complete any more offers! Your friends and family who sign up under you can also complete one of the free trial offers OR one of the paid offers...
