Re: PSP Raffle on Ebay

Same question as before:
Are you sure you are allowed to do this on Ebay?

I've seen this before, and I seem to remember Ebay had pulled out the auction.
But I might be wrong...

Re: PSP Raffle on Ebay

Interesting idea, but I personally don't see this lasting the distance either - and I'm sure it's pure coincidence that the only buyer so far happens to share Simon's surname

{edit} I'm also afraid you may have over-estimated the IQ of ebay members in general - prepare yourself for 29 negative feedback comments from buyers complaining at not getting a PSP for £7.50!

concerning the edit, i was thinking the same about this raffle.
ebay users in general dont read the bulk of the listing, they just read the title, then bid.
massive flaw to your listing right there!

Re: PSP Raffle on Ebay

When all sold. All the names will be listed on Yahoo Answers for the public to chose one name. The name with the most votes will win it. Its not a scam you tit.

And yes Gemma Hill is my wife. I used it to start the ball rolling. That name will not appear in the final raffle.

You didn't explain any of that when you started this thread. it was not difficult for any of us to find out that your first buyer was related to you. And it is legitimate to be suspicious when a scheme like yours can easily end up being a scam.

I hope you were not being aggressive here. it would not be very wise to advertise your raffle and be aggressive at the same time towards your potential customers.

Re: PSP Raffle on Ebay

I am not locking this thread for now but I will do if these accusations/abuse continues.

Simon, there is no need to be agressive in your post, they were just raising concerns. And the rest of you, stop casting doubts over the auction as he has now answered your queries. NO MORE!

Good luck with your auction. Also, you may want to edit your auction to state how/when the draw will take place else ebayers will have the same concerns as these eXceemers.

Maybe you could assign numbers to every person and do a live webcast draw with numbered bingo balls that can be seen? Just a suggestion to try and convince people to buy a ticket.
