i suppose everyone is gona have there own views as what everyone wants in the game is going to differ

however that being said mw3 is always going to have more bad reviews as its out sold battlefield something chronic

I read the bad reviews too and still went and bought it thinking that it might not be too bad. Black Ops got bad reviews, even though looking back it was pretty decent and definately worth the money in the long run.

Battlefields good (played the demo) but i just remember running around for ages and the sniper campers would 9 times out of 10 be the ones that killed you.

There just aren't any games worth buying this year :/

This game is the worst in the series imho. The lag is so terrible, it doesn't even depend on your gun skills anymore, somone with faster internet will ALWAYS kills you.

I always havea good internet connection, usually 4 bars unless I'm doing something else net related but there are times where I have the same problem as that. From my point of view I'm shooting someone in the face for a minute but end up dead myself because as you see from the kill cam, the person I'm shooting had in fact gotten the first shot off.

Still MW3 is the first game I've played online so don't know how better or worse others are. Hopefully the BF3 I ordered online on Friday wont be too delayed by the holidays.

Got this for christmas, have yet to play it so after reading this i don't have high hopes

I have battlefield 3 and saints row 3 so not sure if i am going to be impressed unfortunately.

I don't think it's shyt, I think it's fairly fun. There are a few lag problems and FMG Akimbos are horrendously overpowered but that's always the same when a game only came out 2 or so months ago. They'll end up patching it like they did MW2 (remember crap hit registration and Model 1887s?).

For me BF3 is too clunky on the Xbox, it seems ok on the PC though.

P.S switch your controller layout to tactical and try drop-shotting people, you'll win 1 on 1s 95% of the time.

Thanks for this, been kicking ass on this game by drop-shotting everyone i see even if they're far away lol... Still gonna return it though, seeing as COD4 is still played by many people

It really is a great tactic.

I put COD4 in the other day and couldn't find a game of HQ! There were only 200 or so people playing TDM. Disappointing since that's the only game I'm 10th prestige on and I've got a fair few golden guns.

Its the same with ground war! I'd always play ground war usually, its just pure carnage on COD4 but there's just not enough people playing. I can always get a game of standard team deathmatch though.

Isn't there some worry about the fact most of them are sequels (like when there are years most of the movies released are sequels). The "experts" start fretting about the fact no one has the imagination to come up with an original idea.

Most of them are perfecting their previous games, some arent quite as good as previous but most are quality games.

Nobody seems to care that Modern Warfare 3 is now technically Call of Duty 8!

Most those games didn't live up to their hype and for me, there hasn't been a game out that blew gamers away.

Final Fantasy 7 for PS1.
The Grand Theft Autos on the PS2.

There hasn't been a game for PS3 that really blows you away, Uncharted nearly did it for me, but was way way too short to be admired fully.

When it comes to games, i'm VERY picky lol.

I'm an avid Cod player and love it to be honest.

Sky internet is awful for xbox live in general, and I'm generally on a moderate nat type with a permanent 3 bar connection (in my 350+ games I have had a 4 bar connection 4 times). Generally the connection isn't a massive factor if you know the maps inside out and have played through a couple of prestiges; you have to learn to play with what you have (In our case a god awful connection) and work around that.

Saying that though the lag makes me rage quit games. I can't wait until me and my housemates move next year into an area with fibreoptics and have a decent connection!

well hvaing battlefield since xmas day. i gotta say im impressed. the campaign was a bit short i must admit. but the online play is immense and co-op missions too. so pleased i got it now lol
