Computer Overclocking.

You can overclock your GPU,Graphics,Ram and CPU

For instance, you can increase your Intel i7 from 2.2GHz to 2.5GHz which will increase speed but it's sometime unsafe. My laptop is HP Pavillion dv5. Do you how i can do it but safely without screwing my Motherboard?Btw A friend of mine overclocked his Nokia N900 from 600Mhz to 833Mhz and worked for his phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You would need a suitable PSU, motherboard, RAM and operating system. You will need a lot of fans also for all that also, just give it a miss.

Well my computer has a mobile core 2 duo processor at 2.2 Ghz It heats up so quicly that i think it's already overclocked by HP.I can imagine my laptop overclocked..... the motherboard would burn..... That's why it's calle OVERclocked.... because you make it go faster than it can.... and to do that, you need to give more electrecity to the motherboard, which will increase the heat and it can even destroy your motherboard if it can hold so much energy! So on a laptop it's really UNsafe i guess..... Btw i've seen someone overclocking his CPU intel core i7 all the way to 4.2Ghz...i guess he has a sturdy motheboard.Did you know that in some cases, the processor could heat up so much that the only thing that can save it from burning is to pour liquid nitrogen on it? Amazing! Btw evrey iphone 3gs is UNDERclocked from 1Ghz to 800 Mhz to save battery life i read this in an article.

Different laptops have different charging cables supplied with them which give the required energy needed to charge the battery, if you start fiddling with the laptop it won't work properly. I wouldn't recommend altering a laptop apart from adding new RAM. Desktop PC's are much easier to customise but laptops, you really need to know what you are doing.

yes but by saying electricity i mean that the processor will need more electrons to increase it's speed and that could burn the motherboard. You can overclock your CPU from 2Ghz to 8Ghz BUT:Will your motherboard survive all that energy?NO, that would burn the motherboard and would brick your computer. That's what i ment

You really need to know what your doing when overclocking or you'll screw up your computer. For starters you need more fans to keep it cool or it will overheat within minutes. Then you need to proper software to check how stable the system is when you've overclocked it. Then overclock it in stages to make sure it doesn't get unstable!

Yeah don't do it on a laptop unless it's made for it.

if you have an ati graphics card, you can overclock it automatically with catalyst control centre. But you will still need a lot of cooling or your computer will shut down during the process. (As happened with mine on first attempt!)

Yeah but at least you know with them you are buying the brand as well as the components.
