Happythankyoumoreplease

Storyline: Six New Yorkers juggle love, friendship, and the keenly challenging specter of adulthood. Sam Wexler is a struggling writer who's having a particularly bad day. When a young boy gets separated from his family on the subway, Sam makes the questionable decision to bring the child back to his apartment and thus begins a rewarding, yet complicated, friendship. Sam's life revolves around his friends-Annie, whose self-image keeps her from commitment; Charlie and Mary Catherine, a couple whose possible move to Los Angeles tests their relationship; and Mississippi, a cabaret singer who catches Sam's eye.

Happythankyoumoreplease (2010) - IMDb

IMDB Rating: 6.9/10

Anyone else seen this yet? I'm a sucker for Independent films like this, much better than most of the crap that comes out of Hollywood. Is a really good watch if you like this kind of film.

This looks brilliant! I will watch this when I next get a chance! Thanks for the heads up, any more recommendations - I'm also a sucker for a good indie... Have you seen Blue Valentine yet? I haven't, but it's gonna happen soon!

Oh nice Blue Valentine looks good, cheers for the heads up... will definately be watching it. I have loads of other good films like this on my external Hard-Drive, will get it later and post some of them here... can't remember the names of them of the top of my head.

One I have been meaning to watch for a while is Winter's Bone, looks great:

Also watched this trailer the other day for a film called the Housemaid, looks good too if you don't mind subtitles:
IMDb Video: The Housemaid

Oh yea I have a good site too for films etc..

Haven't seen Lovely Bones yet, that's the Peter Jackson one... heard mixed things about it which is why I haven't seen it yet.

Here's some other good ones I had on my Hard-Drive you might not have heard of:
  • Greenberg
  • Nowhere Boy - about John Lennon
  • Second Skin - documentary about MMORPG addiction
  • The Orphanage
  • To Save a Life
  • Away We Go
  • Boy

Yea Black Swan was kinda different, wasn't sure if I liked it even half way through but was won over by the end. Mila Kunis... she's awesome... she's changed a lot since that 70s Show. She was also really good in Forgetting Sarah Marshall!
