I've been wanting to see it but i haven't found anyone to go with me since all the news about the arm cutting scene. i dont feel like going alone, but i might have to. i read "stuck between a rock and a hard place" years back and it was amazing, i'm really looking forward to this.

Those scenes were done really well. I've heard lots of people are fainting but it didn't have that affect on me - not nice but maybe I have seen too many Saw films to worry about it

First i've heard of it but looks good. Will definately be added to my 'must watch' list!

Reminds me of Into the Wild a bit... what with it being a true story and the canyons/wilderness etc...

Just saw it today, great movie, but i have genuinely never cringed so much before in my life. I regularly watch horror/gory films and they have no affect on me, but for some reason this film was so realistic that it felt like you were actually cutting your OWN arm off! It's so intense throughout the whole film. A must see, but i wouldn't bring any people that are known to faint a lot!

It's a good film. I don't think the visuals were too bad, more the sounds!

(this part should go in spoilers.)

btw, i think it would be good to point out i worked at a book store for two years, and i talked to one guy for an hour or so arguing about into the wild, so thats really the main reason i know so much about it. (actually, i think that was one of the most memorable days i had working there.)

estunum is an unknown quantity at this point
The film was overall superb. James Franco made an awesome performance. Similar to having a movie solely with one actor the whole time, it's almost as good as Cast Away.

Into the Wild... what a film. Absolutely loved that film, one of my favourites ever. I've only read maybe 2 books since I finished GCSE English (not a big book reader) but after watching the film bought the book and read it straight away. Have to say despite how much I loved the film the book was much better, thoroughly enjoyed it... never thought I could enjoy reading a book so much but it sucks you in.

Personally would love to kind of do what Chris done someday, just maybe not as drastic. Just hit the road in America with a campervan and travel!
