The show is designed to make money, the producers know that putting a "novelty" act like Wagner will result in many people voting for him every week who are doing it just to keep him in at the expense of other acts. This then results in many other people phoning in to support other acts so that Wagner might be in the bottom 2 and then be voted off.

The year Wagner, last year Jedward, next year there will be similar and every year the "rejects" seem to be more successful after the show ends than most of the finalists.

It was actually a facebook campaign to vote for wagner to de-rail xfactor and to make it close. It was on the news and if you saw it, Simon said people where trying to 'de-rail the show'.

Yes, but bear in mind that simon cowell and the rest of the judges saw wagner at the audition and voted him through to the next stage, and then eventually Louis picked him as a wildcard instead of better performers/singers. Why? To give the show something a bit less boring, a bit of controversy and make some money. It's all good publicity and you only need to take a look at facebook status's on a saturday/sunday night to realise (a) everyone was talking about wagner and (b) some people really need to get a life.

Same thing happened last year with jedward and i dont think simon cowell etc is naive enough to think the same thing wouldnt happen this year.

If anyone was responsible for derailing the show it was the judges who gave him the thumbs up as they chose him over better people.

I suppose, just to make it less boring and less serious, i think they thought he wouldn't stay in as long.

Matt Cardle is the only guy on there that I actually like to be honest. Wagner was the only other reason to watch the show, he had the voice of an angel but was unfortunately kicked off.

X factor is a load of bull anyways, a bunch of people that can't sing themselves judge others on their singing abilities. It's annoying seeing this crap on TV every single bloody year.

Was a sad day when Wagner got the boot, was hoping he would win it... there's now no other reason to watch the X Factor!

Whole show's a scandal. Don't see why people cared so much about Wagner when everyone knows X Factor has zero relevance to talent.

...was just funny to see how pissed off the judges got when Wagner was still there each week, as he couldn't really sing. Personally never really watched anyone else in the live shows as I agree with you, there is no talent in the show and nothing good will ever come out it. Haven't watched it since Wagner got the boot!

This is so true. I also dislike how insulting the programming can be. How many times does it need to tell us who has just performed, who will perform next and when Simon is due his next hissy fit.
